To be honest it was probably 2pac - Greatest hits when I was about 12. From there I went onto Stillmatic and then when I really got into Hip Hop i'd say Illmatic, Ready 2 Die and Dre 2001.

I used to hate Rap, Hip hop. A friend from work slowly introduced me and as odd as it sounds it started out with Fort Minor and Jay-Z's EP with Linkin Park. Then I started listening to all rap. Tupac's all eyez on me made me a real fan

When did you first listen to Illmatic? I find it strange that you was 2yrs old when it was released and around the time you was 10-12yrs old Eminem, Jay Z, Snoop & Dre would have been all over the radio yet Illmatic was the first album you listened to.

Not hating, just curious.

Amazing album. Easily his best IMO.

He set the bar high for himself on that CD. MMLP looms over everything he's put out since like a dark cloud. Definetly a gift and a curse.
