Rick Reeno 01-09-2005, 01:11 AM Ring Magazine featherweight champion Manny Pacquiao told Viva Sports/Manila Standard prior to his departure for Los Angeles aboard a Philippine Airlines flight Saturday night that “the days of good times are over, now I need to sacrifice” for the planned rematch with WBA/IBF champion Juan Manuel Marquez on February 26 in Las Vegas, Nevada even as he indicated that “six weeks of training is enough. I can handle it easily.” [details (http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=504)]

remember that it was also Bob Arum who maneuvered MAB's fight against Manny to Morales. the bottomline is, they never realy made a signed contract for Manny agains the 3M's since proving how dangerous he realy is by putting down JMM 3x in the 1st round. dont you think its pretty obvious that they take Manny as a career ruining opponent? coz they'd either try making reasons not to fight him or asking for a lot of money just in case they get beat up and lose at least they have the money. not that as a fan we're being Pac nuthuger but his opponents clearly shows how they realy fear him. and that makes Pacman a great fighter coz fighters who calls themselves great are afraid of him. and that's a fact.

am sorry to disagree with that. that cannot be considered hear say at all when the key people actually have said it to the press. like MAB saying he will be fighting Pacman next for revenge after Ayala. and what happened?

yes, since that 11th round tko of barrera and the 3knockdown on JMM, opponents are avoiding possible loss of career. barrera almost lost his. i think dela hoya made a successful maneuvering to salvage barrera's sagging career.

the fight with Morales was more money and a bigger draw being the rubber match for them
p.s. who's my *****

yes i agree. but that was not the fight that should happen yet until the maneuvering. even MAB knew that he should have been fighting Pacman. all am trying to say is that those were not hear say at all when they said it to the press. some peopke like Bob Arum is capable of doing the unexpected in every fight.
