In one thread someone mentioned they'd like to see shogun fight fedor, now that would be a bigger mismatch than quarry/franklin..

What is the one fight that stixx out as being the biggest mis-match to you..

Whether it's skilled opponent vs amateur or 300lbs vs 145lbs..

Here's a few taht i remeber watching and laughing my ass off at..

1.Genki sudo vs eric esche AKA (butterbean)
Genki wieghed about 150lbs butterbean over 350lbs

2.Bob Sapp vs Tamura

3.Frank shamrock vs tito ortiz..
Franks skill was just uncomparable..

4.Kanehara vs wandy and shogun...
Can;t believe kanehara got in the ring with both of these guys lol..

5.Quarry/franklin of course..

6.Buentello vs AA what a joke.. Sure paul has hard hands but he had no place fighting a top ranked athlete like AA..

7.Royce gracie vs anybody in the early UFC's..

Ther's alot more so be sure to add to the list..

LOL. Of course you would be the one to point this out.

Anyways, I think the biggest mismatch, as far as weight goes, that I've ever seen was Daiju Takase vs Emmanuel Yarborough from Pride 3. Yarborough had to be around 600 pounds while Takase was probably pushing 175 at that point.

Didnt Takase win though? And I was just pointing out that Tito/Frank wasnt that big of a mismatch my friend....

TK vs. Fedor was a pretty bad mismatch. Also, the plethra of cans they thru at Silva have been pretty bad....

Yeah, Takase won after basically gassing him out. He shot in for the take down, and Yarborough tried to squat him. Takase squirmed out and rained hammer fists and punches down on Yarborough's skull ala Keith Hackney, and he tapped out.

And yeah, Tito vs Frank wasn't that big of a mismatch, no. Even though Frank had tons more experience than Ortiz, Ortiz still made a good showing of himself.

Kieth Hackney's He-Man Bitch slap to Yarborough's dome is still one of my favorite MMA moments....

Mugsy Bogues vs. Andre "The Giant"

I'm srry but frank out skilled tito from the start..
Yes tito was winnin the fight, but who was dominating in the octagon??

Frank controlled most take-downs..

When he was on his back he stood up at will (when tito wasn't layin on him) + his cardio came through big time at teh end of the fight and that was what he was relhyin on goin the distance..

How does the fighter with less skill start off winning the fight? If it wasn't for his shitty cardio, he would of got the decision. That fight taught him the importance of cardio, and now he has more gas than anybody in the game....

All I'm sayin is that it wasnt that big of a mismatch, and defenatly not a big enough mis-match to be concidered the biggest ever.....

I don't know if I'd even view it as a mismatch. Maybe at the time it was slightly a mismatch in Frank's favor as he had quite a bit more experience than Tito did. He was King of Pancrase and all. But I don't think it was that big of a mismatch. Actually, if a rematch happened, I would think that Tito would be the favorite by a large margin.

I'm a fan of Tito getting his skull punched in. He's one of the few fighters that I really look forward to seeing lose. Not to discount his skills or anything, cause he's a damn good fighter. He's just one of those guys that you love to hate.

I think every K1 event to date has had some sort of fight where one fighter had an extreme advantage over the other...

Oh yah, ignashov vs some thai guy..
The thai guy wieghed no more than 160lbs, ignashov through a low kick that connected and the thai guy almost went over the top rope..

I gotta a good laugh out of it..
