i think this has pros and cons.

pros:

1. abs-cbn can deliver this fight to everyhousehold in the country, whether to the farthest and remotest area.
2. better reception

cons:

1. this station has the reputation of putting up tons of commercials, so i expect extreme delay in the coverage
2. i dont like the way abs-cbn commercializes programs they aired. they will be airing a week-long special on manny before the fight, which for my opinion, is unnecessary. too much have been said about manny and his exploits, and by too much exposure may, directly or indirectly, adds pressure to win, and on the fans' side -- the expectations to win.

everybody kows abs is for the money.. they don't love manny.. at least solar was a sports channel.. prolly its the only time that abs will win over gma.. il watch it though.. ano pa ba?

pre tama ka dyan bro medyo mabawasan ang kita ni Manny, inagawan pa ng mga lukotoy na ABS, medyo mag aagawan kasi ang manonood na mga Pinoy sa States either PPV or TFC, pero tingin ko yung showing sa TFC is delayed telecast, kasi even yung actual showing ng ABS sa Phillippines will be on slightly delayed telecast, kaya marami rin ang manood sa SM para sa actual time ng Laban ...

so kung live nila ipapalabas yun, as what the article said, eh di nde sya delayed telecast and yung sa megamall, useless na... tama ba ako? or parang commercial lang yung article na yun, na nde naman totoo ang sinasabi nila...

Ewan ko lang ha pero yang mga "LIVE" telecast kuno sa atin ay kadalasan panglilingla lang lalo na sa sports events. ABS-CBN?...magbo-broadcast ng live? Puro pera lang ang habol ng mga iyan. Hindi na ako manonood sa GMA-7 kung live nga ang broadcast nila.

Anyways, lucky pa rin ako dahil may live broadcast ang cable TV operator dito sa amin. Ewan ko lang kung bakit hindi ito magagawa sa atin habang sa Malaysia ay pinakikita ito ng libre. Yun ngang 1st encounter nina PAC at Erik ay ipinalalabas sa cable sa isang Malaysian channel...libre! :confused:
