I am just starting to read into the world of boxing. I don't plan to take it as a profession (that would probably never happen anyway) but merely as a way to stay in shape. I do not have any prior knowledge of boxing and was wondering what equipment and what I should expect to start training in this sport.

gloves, headgear, a pair of shorts, shoes and a jump rope for equipment. You'll be expected to listen to your trainer expect to do lots of push ups,sit ups and running

go the to the gym first, coz my gym has gloves and headgear that u can use while ur there. if ur only goan train at gym, dont buy anything by hand wraps, but if u plan on training at home, buy gloves aswell, and a skipping rope

What type of equipment all you need is a good pair of bag gloves(R!ngside one's are good) Handwraps(mexican wraps are best, but since you said you're not planning on being serious, other kinds are fine)
