why did ali wait 2 years after FOTC and after foreman beat frazier to fight him again?

it's not ali, it's frazier. he was trying for those two years to get a rematch, and frazier maybe didn't want to fight him yet.

It was money issues. For the first fight, both Ali and Frazier agreed to 2.5 million, since Ali had not really lost the title yet. But since Frazier beat him, he wanted a million dollars more for the second match, because he was the undisputed champ. Ali contested that he brings people into the crowd.

Ali went on a mission after losing to Frazier to beat all of the contenders - so that Frazier would have nobody left to fight, but Ali. It was working a treat, until Ken Norton came along.
