I dont know what you said. Matt Linland was a silver medalist, but the ufc kicked him out for wearing an unapproved sponser shirt....

I personally will never support the UFC... I don't mind the fighters some of em have great talent and potential but no fighter in the UFC deserves "best in the world" title..
With that being said UFC is commercializing the sport in an un-healthy manner by setting up amateurs (not even ranked in top 20 )with title shots AKA Franklin/Quarry..
The bigger shame is that People new to the sport in North america will be introduced to the UFC and they will get used to/enjoy watching one sided fights, so even if they do happen to venture over to pride they won't respect or recognize the talent of 2 fighters trying to gain a better position while in the guard or on teh ground in general..
We all know MMA just isn't MMA without the ground game..
IMO the UFC is using THE NAME MMA to cover up their grotesque mochary of the sport by deliberatly setting up lop sided fights..

Anybody who watches UFC and says the watch it because they like the sport is a damn liar...
If you watch the UFC it's for the fact that your alwayse gonna see a fool like Quarry get his face smashed in..

I don't like much of the TUF1/2 fighters but Leben is turning into a true MMA fighter, he's training with the right club.
Hope GSP can help some of those canadian boys with their ground game.

The way I c it, orgs like KOTC, IFC, TKO, ROTR and many more are smaller orgs than pride and UFC..
If their's a dominant fighter in one of those smaller orgs, then y don't they get called up to Pride/UFC, if they fail or put on a poor performance they go back to the smaller org.. If they win the fight offer him a next, if he succeeds with a victory/dominant victory then offer a contract.. Kinda like Junior hockey and the NHL, call up a young guy if he does good keep him, if he plays like shit, send him back and never speak of him again :)..

What about RTT?? As far as I know they(canadian) fighters don't train with BTT in canada, they just created their own name/team...
