I think he's a *****...and I KNOW he was as surprised as anybody in the room when he got the decision over Big George.
He fouht that entire fight scared to death!

He proved against Lennox that he has no shortage of heart. I don't think he'd beat most of the top guys but he could beat most guys from the bottom of the top 10 on down. With 4 belts out there, he'd even have a legit shot of winning a belt if he fought the right guy. I think he has a big fight left in him, he's really not that old by HW standards

He's a contender, given today's scene.

He is working his way up some serious contention so give the guy a break. The way I see it, he can give all the title holders a run for their money if he is given a chance.

The guy is a bum. Granted, many of the Heavyweights are bums... but these bums could kick that bums ass. Watching him against that 7foot tall dude on Tuesday night fights earlier this year blew all confidence I had in him.

briggs has been a trooper and has been slogging thru the muddy HW division without complaining. his fight with mercer and his 16 second KO IMO put him under the label of "Legitimate Contender".

Given his competition he could very easily win the title?
Briggs Vs Valuev bring it on!!!!!!!!

well, i hope so.

but look at the current champs: rahman, brewster, byrd, and valuev. i dont think briggs will be the one to rid us of the poisonous byrd, rahman's gonna lose pretty soon to toney, he might stand a chance against brewster, but i dont think he'll be able to beat valuev.

with the current champions, his best bet is against brewster.

the judges ****ed Foreman b/c they wanted him to retire. Foreman clearly won that fight.

Briggs isn't ****. Just ask McCline.

Given the situation in the HWD right now he is most definetely a contender again..........I doubt he will do a whole lot but you never know he has a good punch and thats all it takes to be somebody for a minute in the HWD.

I remember watching something on the UFC and Briggs and Butterbean were supposed to content on there but I never heard anything. Has anybody else?

For someone who has been calling out Peter and talking trash, he does not seem to be in a hurry to fight Peter. He is fighting someone else instead.
