AREALFIGHTER

I'm not sure if he has the fire anymore to be a fighter. he's got so much else going on that it could be easy for him to get distracted. I think he should just retire honestly and run his company.

View Full Version : Does anyone think Oscar has anything left AREALFIGHTER 12-21-2005, 04:16 PM I'm not sure if he has the fire anymore to be a fighter. he's got so much else going on that it could be easy for him to get distracted. I think he should just retire honestly and run his company. DiegoFuego 12-21-2005, 04:20 PM I don't think he does. I think he knows he has the skill to beat Mayorga, but I highly doubt he even goes after Wright. Honestly, Oscar is a ****ing coward if he doesn't fight Wright. Wright easily beat two of the only three men to ever beat De La Hoya. If Oscar wins that one, he really vindicates the losses to Mosley and Trinidad, even though I felt Oscar won those fights anyway. Oscar-Wright makes all the sense in the world, but Oscar is too much of a coward to do it. MetalVomit 12-21-2005, 04:20 PM No boxer is a coward. DiegoFuego 12-21-2005, 04:23 PM No boxer is a coward. Duh, little girl. In the boxing world, there are cowards, and Oscar is one of them. But compared to your average man, no, Oscar isn't a coward. blockhead 12-21-2005, 04:24 PM he is a business man now and good for him. AREALFIGHTER 12-21-2005, 04:26 PM One thing is for sure he dosn't have to get his head beat in to make money anymore MetalVomit 12-21-2005, 04:29 PM Duh, little girl. In the boxing world, there are cowards, and Oscar is one of them. But compared to your average man, no, Oscar isn't a coward. Any man that steps in that ring and boxes for a living is not a coward, Oscar may not want to fight Winky, that doesnt make him a coward. He must not think he can beat Winky, if he doesnt want to fight him. scap 12-21-2005, 04:29 PM Oscar needs to decide if he wants to seriously go after one more big fight (Winky Wright) or not! If he does want to finsih with Wright then he needs to fight 3 times in 1 year and the 3rd figfht needs to be against a marquee guy like Winky and the first two need to be fights that hone his skills and more importantly his stamina. Oscar will not win a big big fight unless he gets active (whihc is not going to happen) this 1 fight every year and a half **** is not working and he will contiunue to lose if this is his strategy. I love Oscar to death and from one of his biggest admirers he either needs to get real active real quick which should ultimately lead to a superfight or he needs to focus in on his promotional company which by the way is going to bring this sport of ours 1 day back on network televsion. I want to see more of oscars stable on NON PPV hes got some really good fighters and a ton of good young prospects DiegoFuego 12-21-2005, 04:36 PM Any man that steps in that ring and boxes for a living is not a coward, Oscar may not want to fight Winky, that doesnt make him a coward. I just said boxers aren't cowards compared to your average individual but in boxing there are cowards relevant to other boxers. If you refuse to accept a fight that could end your career on the best note possible because you don't think you can win, YOU ARE A COWARD. I wouldn't expect anything less from you, though, being a Wladimir Klitschko fan. Oohhhhhhh SNAP AREALFIGHTER 12-21-2005, 04:38 PM THE VERY DEFINITION OF A COWARD. CAN YOU NOT READ?! Oohhhhhhh SNAP Man deigo your always making someone mad I think its kinda funny AREALFIGHTER 12-21-2005, 05:00 PM I think the myorga fights a goodden oscar does get hit and both throw punches could be fun psychopath 12-21-2005, 07:44 PM Nah I don't think DLH still has it in him. His mind set is now in running his company so the inner desire to compete is no longer same as before. DANGER13 12-21-2005, 07:54 PM i have no clue... but if he trains his ass off, focuses i KNOW he can beat wInky. i mean Soliman was competitive with him(none of that he was sick bs) then DE la Hoya should be able to do good. OScar when focused and trained good is dam hard to beat. i find it hard to belive he will lose to a guy with very LIl Offense, it'll b hard for wINky to hit OScar. De la Hoya has only lost twice, to HOpkins, and Mosley(1st fite). he was competitive in both fights, just couldnt pull it out. OSCAr is a legend, hasnt, and never will duck anyone. y would he duck WInkY? DiEgO_cHiCo_CoRRaLeS 12-21-2005, 08:19 PM i think he still has enough to beat mayorga, but when it comes to winky & taylor & fighters of that caliber i dont think he has got the drive anymore to beat them! += El Jefe=+ 12-21-2005, 08:23 PM the guy doesnt care about being a figther, he doesnt have the drive to get inthere and take and give punches psychopath 12-21-2005, 09:30 PM i have no clue... but if he trains his ass off, focuses i KNOW he can beat wInky. i mean Soliman was competitive with him(none of that he was sick bs) then DE la Hoya should be able to do good. DLH can never have the focus he had before because now he is no longer just a regular fighter aspiring for make it big. He is already big dude. :D As I have posted earlier the inner desire. borikua 12-21-2005, 09:54 PM We will find out next year.... Boricua Photos 12-21-2005, 10:08 PM I realy dont think he will beat Mayo because he has lost his focus and he really dont care about wining he only cares now of $$$ if you see he dont even train like he do it when he was at Welter when he have that fire that he dont have now........maybe im wrong but that is what i see in him. He is more focus now in his company and his fighters and all that you now. BTW im not a hater i love to see De la Hoya but he is not the same. |
