nope, i'll be honest i never been so scared of a movie in my life, more than the exorcist

...opinions are like *******s, everybody gots one. But seriously, I think it's gonna be good. Maybe your friend didn't comprehend it.:) I have had friends that said a movie sucked before and it was because they weren't sharp enough to get the meaning or the plot. The idea of white noise contact from the other side possibly being a real phenomenon is intriguing enough to make me go and see it.

...lol lol lol Yeah, I don't usually see anything unless it's on video/DVD after the fact. My frickin kids will only tolerate being left with my sister. The wife and I don't get out much. We entertain in alot with our friends and neighbors that also have kids though. Can't complain about that.

....One of my brothers best friends has a family farmhouse that is the scariest old southern mansion you have ever seen. They have had all kinds of crazy **** happen in that place. It still has old slave quarters on the land and everything. There was a newer portion built in like 1950 and the son who does the upkeep on the property will only stay in that section. I have been there many times and you get a feeling like someone is watching you. It's in Virginia and one of these days I'm gonna spend the night in that joint and tempt fate by trying to call out the ghostly residents.

same here B-dog, same here!!! I am so freaking excited about seeing this movie (and I'm a Keaton fan too! ;) ). At first I thought it was gonna be lame and not scary at all, but about a week ago I checked out that web site and it has some serious potential!!!!! I cant wait to see this! There is a long list of movies now that I still havent seen, starting with The Grudge, Saw, The Darkness, White Noise, and a few more that I just cant remember right now!! :D

Good question :confused: Maybe it has something to do with the way it looks on that machine that the movie is about or something?? From what I understand, in the movie they are using a special machine to pick up these mess. with, so maybe its the way it looks on the machine or something ;) Once I watch it I'll tell you if they explain it anyway!

His buddy has seen people in broad daylight that aren't real at all. The first couple of times it happened he thought someone got lost and stumbled onto the farm. He saw a fairly nice looking non apparition like woman outside the window one day and when he went out to talk to her and couldn't find her anywhere on the premises. He looked for a car but none were present. HIs dogs were in the front yard and didn't make any sounds like they saw someone unfamiliar. After that point he would no longer go anywhere near the old portion of the estate. Another time, he spent the night while tending to the horses and he heard someone running up the stairs right before he got into bed outside his bedroom. A regular thump thump thump up the staircase. He assumed his brother stopped by the farm to see what was up so he threw open the door and was like hey man whats going uh what the hell? Nobody in site. He thought he was losing it at first.

i was always interested in ghosts and supernatural. we have some things over here in jersey but none of my friends are willing to go. i get my license monday so imma gather up whatever of my friends will go and take them.

White noise is a signal with no structure.

A speech generates patterns consisting of wave-like functions with a white noise added to it (i.e "signal + noise").

THANKS for that info!! I will definately check that out..just like the Ring (Ringu) I think that when Americans get ahold of these stories they tend to water them down a bit and theyre not as scary as they should be! :confused:

Thanks Neils, actually, she's seen Jumanji, Arachnaphobia, Jurrasic Park 1 and 2, Signs (said it was boring), and she flat out refuses to watch any of the Gremlins..says they look stupid and are for babies! She wants FREDDY!!! I have let her watch some of the Halloweens and a couple of the Nightmare On Elmstreet on basic tv channels, so they were chopped all to hell, and she loved them! I've found that the horror she can handle, it's just the profanity that I cant handle her hearing. I did however break down and took her to see Alien vs. Predator, and she loved it too! ;) Right now shes harassing me to take her to see The Darkness, the Grudge, and White Noise (uh, dont think so!! :eek: ). They have the potential of scaring me, and like you said, I'm a horror buff, so theres no way she's watching any of those yet!!

I think the movie blows EVP a little out of proportion to get some ticket sales, but the base of the whole idea is there. Scary stuff, the cool thing is anyone could do it if you wanted to. All you need is a silent room and a tape recorder and you're set. Looking forward to seeing the movie, I love horror movies, espically ones based on a true story, like "The Exorcist" and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre"

I just saw white noise last night, and I thought it was a pretty good movie. Trip out on this I get to work this morning and turn my labtop on and it keep making a noise. I just saw white noise last night, and I thought it was a pretty good movie. Trip out on this I get to work this morning and turn my labtop on and it keep making a noise. It sounds like a fly is stuck in the speakers it plays every five seconds and the **** wont stop. I tried shutting it down and restarting I turned the volume down like and hour ago and thaught it would of stopped by now but it hasnt. This **** is really making me think now.
