As rumors gather pace about a casual, even cavalier approach by Manny Pacquiao to the hard grind of training to peak fitness for the fight of his life, his impending opponent WBA and IBF Champion Juan Manuel Marquez says that any last minute injury excuse from an under prepared Manny wouldn’t cut much ice.

While reports suggest Manny has yet to link up in the United States, with his trainer Freddie Roach and get down to some serious supervised gym work, Juan already has more than a month of hard work under his belt. [details (http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=498)]

For once I agree with JMM, but it could have been mouthed by anybody else. There really should be no excuses from either side after the fight. No more of those "bad nights" pleeeease...!!

But I still go for Pacman, KO in the early rounds! :p

Hi I'm new here and I'm a Filipino fan of boxing. I must say that as much as I want Pacman to win over JMM, I can't see him winning this one.

Before any other Pacman fan react to this one, I want you to hear me out. First and foremost, Pacman isnt working hard enough. This has been a disease that has been attached to our boxers. When they become stars, they tend to take things lightly. Whereas our mexican brothers tend to work harder to maintain their hard earned status. I've always thought that Manny has changed during his last loss (I forgot with whom). But in this upcoming fight, it is apparent he hasn't learned his lesson. It is not only him that we can blame. He could have done his guestings or his commercials well after this fight. But due to his contracts with these companies, it will contribute to his demise. We cannot mainly rely on his power to defeat his enemy. There has to be a lot of conditioning and practice. I cannot say that Roach will be to blame when he loses, for he has time and again tried to coax MP to leave early to start on practice.

Its just like ****fighting. Your conditioning may not give you the win, but somehow, it gives you the advantage to have one. I hope Pacman proves me wrong.

I am a big fan but i will be the first here to congratulate JMM and change my sig to Que Viva Mexico ! IF JMM wins. I urge all the other Pac fans to do the same to show that we can be gracious both in victory and in defeat. No excuses. The socks are there :p

Pac is not taking JMM lightly, everyone seems to overlook that Pac just had a tune up fight this December and been training albeit not continuous since August ....

JMM had similar full training advatange against PAC last time, what good it did for him, 3 kds in the first round, a broken nose, ohhh he last the whole fight, the full 12 rounds, whoppeee, great work for the champ ...

unfinished business will be settled February 26, I won't accept any excuses either ...

have you verified all your info? ?
Nope....LoLz....I COULD ask the author of the paper I read if its authentic
were you with pac on all those days?
Nope I'm a fan, but not a fanatic. Were you with Jose Rizal to know that he was such a hero for our country? joke! LoLz :D

do you think pac is too dumb to let go of millions of dollars witing for him and a crack to boxing greatness?

So is MP dumb? I'm here, having a lot of money. I stand to win another 900K soon win or lose. I could retire after that and just play pool, ****fights, endorsements, a business....etc. Practice sucks, I have a power punch anyway. No one can withstand that.

You and I may say that we're not dumb enough to let go of millions. I only have a 9-5 job and with that much money, hell I'm willing to get beat up (or much more, win) by my opponent. But, if you DO win. Dont you think you deserve the finest things in life and not think about your next match? Till its too late.

Pacman, I still hope your proving me wrong. I'm still rooting for you. I just tend to analyze too much. Sorry guys.

Bro, you worry too much about a fight which may not happen at all, I learned that HBO has give the promoters to settle everything by Wednesday, otherwise it would be Pacman vs Morales on March 19.
