I think he could beat Lacy tonight. Vanderpool at one time was thought to the best young prospect in the Middleweight divisions then he got beat by Hopkins, but so what everyone loses to Hopkins.

I have'nt been impressed with Lacy so far. He seems pretty limeted and really has no jab. I think Lacy's power has gotten overratted by him knocking out bums early on.

Vanderpool has wins Glenn Johnson(Who just KO'ed Jones) and Tito Mendoza

I really think Vanderpool is gonna beat Lacy tonight

any thoughts on the fight?

Vanderpool gave Hopkins a pretty good fight before dropping the decision. The fact he has no name recognition is the only reason a lot of people think this is a shoe-in for Lacy.

Lacy is too one-dimensional for me. He doesn't mix up his shots enough and becomes predictable for his opponent after a couple of rounds. He can get away with it with lesser fighters that he just physically outguns, but tonight will prove he's good but not good enough.

Vanderpool UD.

Now there is a man who knows what he's talking about.

I retract my previous statement.....

I only got to see the first four rounds of the Showtime replay, then a freaking brawl broke out at the house I watching it at-- the house was packed for the Tito-Mayorga fight.

Anyone see the whole fight? How did it go?

when Vanderpool boxed he was getting the better of it then all of a sudden for no damn reason he just starts trying to go to war with Lacy and Lacy started getting the better of him.

The stoppage was way to early in my opnion. Lacy lands like 5 punches unasnwered and the ref jumped in. Vanderpool clearly had his head on straight yelling "NO NO NO" when the ref jumped in.

pretty good fight.

That's pretty much what I was seeing the first couple rounds. I was hoping Vanderpool would stop slugging with Lacy and get to boxing him.

Not long on technique, but damn that Lacy is a stong-ass kid.

Lacy was killing Vanderpool in that round. Lacy had him so hurt that you could read V's lips as he's falling back asking for mercy. The stoppage was good, IMHO, and I'd pick Lacy to win against anybody below 175, including Tarver and RJJ.

The beard that Lacy has shown in the few fights I've seen of him is rediculous.
