I just turned 30 and just recently took up boxing. I started for fitness reasons, and that has been successful so far. I`ve lost 10lbs of fat in the last 6 weeks. I told myself that I wasn`t going to even think about competing but now I`m having 2nd thoughts. I find myself really working hard on technique when I`m at the gym now. My next step is to start sparring, which I plan on doing after Christmas. So what do ya Think. Am I to old 2 start?

There are stories of fighters starting later and doing well.

well its not like your talking pro or anything so if i were you id definetly go for it,youll know for sure whether its somthin you wanna do after you spar, and im pretty sure the age is like 34 before you start competing in the masters division and thats harder to get fights so you got time good luck

I'm 22 and feel I'm too old to start.

it depends on how you feel about it, and if you think you could be competitive at your age. there are people who've been boxing since they were kids, and getting knocked around and knocking people around is all they know how to do. if you feel like at your age you could handle it, then go for it. my take? there's no harm in trying if youre really passionate about it.

I think Boxing for fun and fitness is an ageless sport.
