I just wanted to see everyones opinion on this kid. Is he going to climb to the top by year end. i personally think he will kill gatti late in the year and then have a showdown with Floyd.

vivian harris is underrated

He's a good/smart fighter on the rise. He has what it takes to beat Gatti because Gatti's not that good. I hope he takes a big step up this year to fight a top 5 caliber fighter. I want to know just how good he is & hopefully we'll all see this year.

i think Cotto is a little overrated. But he is better and will have a better career than Jermain Taylor. He has fantastic offense. good in close fighter. I love fighters that can get right in there face to face and work without brawling. This kid has an amazing upside, and one day his talent and accomplishments will equal his hype.

Cotto looks completely comfortabel in the ring
unlike jermain taylor
who seems scared if not lost when his opponents fight back
cotto will def rise to the top of his division
if not by this year
then soon
but its going to depend on whether or not other fighters give him the chance
to really break from prospect to champ
he needs that one name on his record to solidify him

Cotto is good, It would be nice to see him fight someone worth it, to see how good he really is. Cotto has a hand game that is up to par, and has a solid chin. He will do some damage this year..

Taylor is in by far a easier division so I could see Taylor having the better career. I agree that right now he is the better fighter and has great skills but I believe Taylor's skills are even better. The question is will Taylor ever learn how to put it all together. I dont think he will. Some guys are just like that but who knows.

Taylor is very young and very critical of himself. I would bet that you will lots of improvement in his next few fights. Then he will go after Hopkins. I think he can beat him in a year but not quite yet.
