View Full Version : Next MMA Superstar
simeraksou 12-08-2005, 12:30 PM Ryoto Machida is the next big MMA superstar. He has an extensive karate (first place in pan am games), jiu jitsu (purple belt), sumo and wrestling background. He started martial arts at the age of 3, his dad being a 7th dan in shotokan. He's pretty new to MMA, yet his opponents are as tough as they come for a new contender. No other new contender has such a tough list of opponents. Anyone know when he's fighting next?

How is he up and comming, he has 6 fights in 2yrs with 3 wins by decision..
Will we see more of him??
yes
what org?? who knows??
simeraksou 12-09-2005, 12:01 PM He's up and coming because not many fans recognize who he is. More people recognize BJ Penn, Rich Franklin, etc. both of whom he clearly defeated. Hopefully, he can get into pride or UFC, though I don't think UFC will be challenging enough.
Mr. Beelzebub 12-09-2005, 12:39 PM He's not an up and comer. He will not get into Pride or UFC, he's Inoki's boy.
Mike Tyson Jr. 12-09-2005, 01:12 PM Chuck Lidell is already a superstar
but he is on his way to being a legend

Chuck Liddell is okay except for that fight where Rampage pounded him and made him utter womanly noises, as tyson would say. The only thing funnier than the womanly noises was the commentary of dana white criticizing Liddell for not "following the game plan".
He's with Inoki, so that rules out Pride and UFC. He'll be fighting twice a year in K-1 for a long time...

When exactly can you hear these woman noises out of Rampage? Chuck's woman noises where pretty clear....

alright, whos inoki and why wont he fight in either pride or ufc. I know tons about almost every fighter, but i dont pay attention to management.
Antonio Inoki is a pro-wrestler who fought Muhammed Ali back in the day, it gained him mad fame in Japan, and now he owns some japanese pro wrestling league. He used to work with Pride and K-1 and let his pro wrestlers fight for each. He had a falling out with Pride so now he is pretty much exclusive with K-1.....
