Former WWE Superstar Diamond Dallas Page recently filed a federal lawsuit against rapper Jay-Z for trademark infringement. The "Diamond Cutter" hand symbol has been being used by Jay-Z on some of his products some including CD covers entitled "The Dynasty: Rock La Familia 2000" and "Jay-Z Fade To Black" DVD, which was released this past April.
When Dallas Page was in WCW back in 1996, its when he was first using the hand signal. Since that time he has been using it professionally for his wrestling and entertainment ventures. On the cover of Page's new book, "Yoga For Regular Guys" it also features the symbol. The hand symbol is kind of like a logo to him, hence the lawsuit.

Two years ago, I did the smart thing and copyrighted my 'symbol' of the extended middle finger.

"Diamon" Dallas Page is finished. Why would he even care if someone uses that logo. Now, I could understand if someone tried to steal the Neptunes' hand sign....but then again, who cares.
He has to sue Kanye West too, because he was performing Diamonds are forever on Good Morning America or some shit and he used it.

its true though, ddp came out with that shit. but how can you copyright a hand sign. thats like someone suing cube for his west side hand sign.

Today's Kansas City Star has a story on Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson. In the article it mentions that Johnson uses the diamond cutter symbol after he scores a touchdown and how the NFL may crack down on it. It does make mention that Jay-Z is being sued "by a wrestler" over the symbol.

DDP is an asswipe, I remember when he used to pat himself on the back after doing a ****ing wrestling move. Damn, he must be old, I was young as hell when he was wrestling. **** him and his lawsuit, and I'm not even a Jay-Z fan
