My last is the same as yours except I had Jay Z instead of Rakim. I don't doubt that Rakim holds more weight in the game and has a more iconic status with the pure hip hop heads but I just haven't listened to enough of him to have him up there unfortunately.

I like a lot of the simple flows with emotion/character/inflection, so guys like Heavy D would get consideration too, though I would never bring them up in a GOAT discussion. I'd like to put Eminem and LL in my list, and probably on a different day they'd dump Marvin Young... This whole Mase/Puffy/Fabolous way of rapping that has led to emotionless drones chanting on songs doesn't do it for me...

yeah thats one of the reasons i like jay-z. you can hear the changes in emotion depending what hes talk about. I'm not into diddy, mase or fab type flow either, kind of boring. Although Mase had a good flow at times...
