I thought he looked pretty good, landing hard shots, slipping punches. Anyone think he can make some noise at 154?

If Wright stays at 160, I think he can definitely make some noise. I would like to see him against the winnder of Mosely/Vargas.

Based on his past 2 performances, I don't think Mosely will be a re-energized Vargas.

I thought the other guy got to him a little more than he should have in round 2 and 3, maybe, landing some hard shots. But overall, Ike took over from there and pretty much pounded the crap out of that guy. I'm surprised the guy didn't drop. Maybe Ike was trying to draw the fight out a bit to get in some more ring time.

That's where I differed from Lederman's shutout. I thought Bojorges easily won 2 & 3, but was dominated badly in every other round.

Anyone think hes ready for a top level guy next year?

I'd like to see him fight Ouma.

That would be an interesting fight. I think Ike would win, though. Ouma lacks the power to keep Ike off of him. This from a serious Ouma fan.

Quartey looked pretty good, but he was in with an opponent that was tailor made for him. He used his jab fairly well, countered beautifully but again Borojquez was made for him.

Can he make some noise? Maybe but there are some decent fighters at 154, they just don't get alot of recoginition. The guy who just beat Santos today, Drizdzrunk(mispelled), Karmazin, Ouma, Mayorga, Vargas, Mosley, are all fighters that would give Ike trouble.

A fighter with good skills and handspeed will cause Quartey some problems. I'm not going to call Quartey's comeback really serious as He is definetly a shadow of his former self and is going to lose to Ouma, Karmazin, and Mosley if he steps it up. I would be interested to see a Vargas rematch because there would be a lot on the line.

I'm not convinced he's ready to go up against a real A-list fighter yet. I think a good tuneup or two inbetween with increasingly more difficult fighters would be good.

I totally agree, I don't think hes ready yet.

He looked good at times and he looked very vunerable at times. I see Ouma beating him with his workrate. He was getting hit too much against a guy he shouldn't have been getting hit by.

he's old at 36. Just throw him on the Vargas-Mosley undercard against those aforementioned fighters and if he wins what the hell let him take a crack at the Vargas-Mosley winner. He's old and I dont think he can afford to wait in between too long for a "super" fight.

Ike looked very good IMO he was patient and used his jab and defense very well against and obvouisly over matched opponent.
