Mosley is taking on Winky Wrigth on November 20. I guess this guy is on a suicide mode. Does he realizes that losing here would mean the end of his career? :D I can only admire him for having the balls . . . What do you think guys?

Why would this end his career?

His career wasn't over when he lost 2 to Forrest.

Forrest's isn't over though he lost 2 to Mayorga.

De La Hoya's isn't over though he lost 2 to Mosley.

Mosley is 1-3-1 in his last 5 fights and the only win was gift decision. And he has no shot of beating Wright in rematch. I say his career is over.

Its good thats hes taking on Wright again. Personally i think its pretty much going to be a mirror of the first match but if he never tried then he would never know. Thats one of the major problems with boxing the moment, fighters are to protective of their records and unwilling to have a go against fighters of equal or better ability. It really shows alot about Mosley's character that he is willing to fight Wright again, more than you can say about alot of fighters these days.

that was most definately a gift desicion, i remember how espn.com had a round by round analysys, having de la hoya clearly winning about 8 rounds, then the next day, its as if the site (including jackasses like kellerman)went into a 360 turn giving out all the reasons why they thought mosley won the fight. What a load of ****.

Shane has not won any of his last 5 fights in my eyes. There is simply no way he defeated Oscar in the 2nd fight. He has been in decline for a long time.

mosely is pretty determined and could catch wright. mosely though needs to go back down in weight and take on a big fight with someone like cory spinks at 147

some one once to told me to never confuse
Courage with Stupidity
peronaly im not sure which one it is with Shane
what i do know is that its really gonna take a toll on his health
thats one permanent momento you dont want to take away with you
good luck but i also feel this fight wont be any different
scratch that
it will be different
i think wrights might come out more aggressive or throw harder shots now in an effort to KO mosley

He's a real fighter no doubt, but he will be DONE as an elite fighter after he gets blown out again.

Ok that's argueable maybe he can still hang on with 1-4-1 record on his last 6 fights after another loss to Wright but do you honestly think he can still make that much progress to climb back into the elite circle with that much damage ego? I really doubt that. Jose is right he will be done as an elite fighter. I'm NO Mosley hater, just talking of facts and possibilities here. And who are the fighters he needs to fight and beat to accomlish that?

exactly. shane is not done, he just needs to go back down in weight, hell why has'nt he done it yet? i mean 140 is the most talent full division right now and i think shane could kick ass down there.

He cant take that much weight off

puppy_dogg
10-02-2004, 07:25 PM

Sir_Jose

cause his body has change

He would almost have to kill himslef to get back down there

Shane can't go to 140 unless he wants to be weak and physically drained. 147 was a good weight for him.

I was thinking that maybe it could have been better if he could have opted for a test or tune-up fight against a respectable opponent before that rematch with Wright.

To be honest with you I think that Shane has a pretty good chance against Winky, but I'd like to see Shane go back down in weight and take on the best in the 147 division

That's right he's got a pretty good chance, that fight can go either way again . . . but what I'm saying is he is in too much hurry to get back at the guy immediately and with his career at stake the pressure might get to him.
