Classic KO.

Too bad Johnson doesn't show up half the time and is grossly overweight the other half of the time.

He has some skill and used to be exciting to watch.

In context with what's going on in the heavyweight division right now that sh*t is a classic...It shows the potential Kirk "Fat Ass" Johnson. If he could still swing em like that, he could make things exciting in the heavyweight division.

LOL!

I lost respect for Kirk Johnson when he couldn't take care of business with Ruiz and started cheating/dirty tactics against RUIZ! Yeah, Ruiz.

This clip is FREAKIN hilarious. I like how it looks like Maskaev looks like he getting in bed when he's knocked out the ring. CLASSIC.

He isn't. I believe Maskaev is bigger than Johnson, actually.

That clip just proves further how pathetic Rahman really is. To get knocked cold out of the ring against a no chin scrub like Maskaev is a freaking joke.

Fatboy Johnson in that clip looks alot like Lamon Brewster with all the wild swings he is throwing. That would be an interesting fight?

I cannot remember but was the three knockdown rule in effect for the Golota vs Brewster fight because it seemed to me that Golota got up fairly quickly from the third KD.

I dont think it was. I think the ref stopped it.

If that was the case he should not have stopped it. Marquez went down three times against Pacquiao and the ref did not stop it. Golota really did not look hurt he looked more surprised than anything else.

Golota COULD have continued and he would have gone down AGAIN. He was just too off balanced that night and look befuddled.

If he went down four times then you stop it, not three especially after he got up quicker after the third KD.

What's the point? Johnson was 270, and it was an akward clumsy TKO.

Bozo, do you think Kirk Johnson gained all that weight to maybe rough Klitschko up on the inside?

Either that, or He's very undisciplined.

if johnson was healthy and in shape man he would be a force to be reckoned with. It's a shame Ruiz has to be a ***** and milked/faked those low blows.

Actually, Maskaev was winning the fight until Johnson tagged him with the big left hook. Not that it was lucky win or anything, but up to that point Maskaev had shown better skills than Kirk. Johnson was an underdog going into the fight IIRC...

No, he wasn't.

Johnson swept the first 3 rounds on 2 cards and won 2 of 3 on the 3rd card.

He was ahead 30-27, 30-37, & 29-28 at the time of stoppage.

No way. Nooo way! Johnson won round one as I recall with some good shots, but Maskaev hurt him at the end of round one and totally had his way with Johnson from there til the big left hook in the 4th round. He had Johnson on the ropes and was pounding him badly for the better part of rounds 2, 3 and 4.

Are you sure the scores weren't the other way around? No way Johnson was winning that fight, no way.

I watched the fight last night when I made the clip.

Johnson was clearly winning the fight.

Hey, I got my own version ;)

Well, at least this guy saw it the way I recall it ;) . Don't get me wrong, I'm Canadian, and I remember watching it and cheering for Johnson, but thinking at the end of round 3 that he's in big trouble here. He just couldn't seem to keep Maskaev off him. And then he landed that big left. :D

Oh well, doesn't matter, all that's left of him now is Google archives and Boxrec... :(

I can't agree with you in the least. Johnson was jabbing well and landing the harder shots.

Boxrec has the official cards.

Do you have the fight? Give it another watch. It's not that bad a fight and the KO is funny as hell.
