name fighters who are strangely big for their weight , even their weight at fight night:

-hopkins , how he makes 157 is beyond my understanding

-kermit cintron , even if he weighs 160 at fight , he still look big for that weight(not to mention a welterweight).

-jermain taylor looks like a freakin light HW.

-GATTi (ask gamache).

who are yours ?

Other from the one's youv'e mentioned i can think of

A Lot of the 140's ( Cotto,Hatton,Tszyu etc are massive 140 lb'ers)

Calzaghe - EASILY comes in on the night weighing 14st+ , should move up to light-heavy...

can't think of any off the top of my head - Iv'e probably missed a few obvious ones in the lower divs..

Hopkins doesn't seem to be too big for middleweight in my opinion and he always comes in under the 160 limit.

Hopkins doesn't seem to be killing himself to make weight. I think 160 is the right weight for him.

sure , thing is hopkins has 160 pounds of muscles in the shoulders and arms , he has chicken legs and small bones , that s why he looks so big

Hopkins never has trouble making weight cause he lives right. He's just tall.

Gatti is HUGE and should be fighting at 147 and Cintron is a joke the guys is killing himslef to make 147 he's easily a middleweight.

Miguel Cotto-A junior middleweight who starves himself.

dude lol ia m 5'7 155 (160) also...yeah..but remember lamotta was small as hell but was ko'ing boxers left and right and giving great fighters hell in the ring..height doesn mean anything from MW on down..but at HW it does..because at HW huge reach and height with no skills can win a fight ...but at middleweight and lower..u can be small but ur skills will win fights

i agree my fellow 160 pounder , but i meant strong for their weight.

cotto is not tall for a 140 pounders but he is way stronger than most of his opponents.

Gatti can't handle welterweight. He even said himself he doesn't belong over 140.

Cotto and Tszyu. Their build makes you think their in the wrong division.

I disagree.Cotto's weight makes me think he's big for the division.

Vitali Klitchko is too big for his weight, someone should make a big momma weight for him!! :D

Seriously - Lacy, Castillo, Calzaghe, Cintron, Harrison, Chico are very big for their weights.

you have other guys like Tszyu, Hatton, Nard who will always make weight but their big guys.

I remember seeing a picture of I think Sandy Saddler, who was a Featherweight, he looked like he weighed about 190!! An remember in the 40's, they weighed in like 5 hours before the fight, so they couldn't dehydrate as much.

I want to find that picture again, cause it seriously looked like Vitali Klitschko was in the ring with Mickey Ward.

Fernando Vargas at Jr.Middle....he usually enters the ring at 165-170, this is one guy who truly has to kill himself to make weight. To bad he doesn't have a Middleweight chin, at least not anymore after the DLH and Trinidad beatings, but he does have Middleweight power.

I too, wonder how Hopkins makes weight as well. Sure he comes in at or below the 160lb weight limit, but he's comes in at around 175 on fight night [his lightest weight ever was the 169lbs vs. DLH]. Just look at him in the weigh-ins, he looks like a damn skeleton, then he steps into the ring the next day looking like a bodybuilder.

Tarver - This guy walks around at 220lbs and shrinks himself down to 175 on his 6-foot-2 frame.

Tzysu & Cotto - two 140pounders who step into the ring at 154-155lbs and completely overpower their opponents. Cotto also looks like a skeleton come weigh-in time.

Mayorga @ 147 - I for one do not believe he should campaign at welterweight anymore, for someone who walks around at 175-180, this would be too much strain on him. 154 would be a good weight for him. Even middlewight isn't out of the question if he ever develops a semblence of defense and boxing skills. He had the power to hurt Trinidad.

Diego Coralles - a 5'11" lightweight. Bigger than DLH was during his lightweight days. He'll move up in time, I sure.
