Carl Thompson and Frederic Serrat are going at it now.

1st round looked clumsy, with both men landing akward big shots.

Bozo_no no
11-26-2005, 04:25 PM
Another round for Serrat, who's pushing Tompson to the ropes and doing more work.

Thompson is landing back, but not as frequently.

Bozo_no no
11-26-2005, 04:28 PM
More of the same.

Thompson is getting outworked and laying on the ropes.

Both guys look to be tiring.

Bozo_no no
11-26-2005, 04:36 PM
This fight is an akward slug fest with the Frenchmen seeming to have the upper hand as he's a bit busier and has more power and takes a shot a bit better.

I'll advise when it's over because all the rounds are looking the same.

Look Kiddo.

It's obvious you have your own agenda here so for the good of BoxingScene just knock it off.

Unless you want to talk about that Hatton - Maussa fight, don't spam unrelated crap that has nothing to do with this fight.

Round One:

Hatton agressive and backing Maussa up. A lot of clinching, but Hatton backing him up and working the body.

Similar to round 4. Maussa stays off the ropes and circles, but Hatton stalks and lands a lot of power hooks and uppercuts.

If Maussa goes the distance with Hatton, some experts will bring up the fact that 140-pound sensation Miguel Cotto has already stopped Maussa inside of eight rounds. That’s not all. Two fights later, Maussa was also decisioned by 19-6 journeyman Arturo Morua.

It doesn’t take an expert to figure out that Hatton needs to knock Maussa out in order to look impressive. After defeating that man that many regard as the best junior welterweight in the history of the division, he needs another impressive showing in order to capitalize on his newfound American fame. The win over Kostya Tszyu was heard around the world. The win over Maussa will not be unless he performs great.

Round 8:

Maussa seemed a bit stronger, but it's still all the same.

He's still taking a beating, and clinching.

He's trying to time one big counter shot, but it's not working.

He hasn't done anything to damage Hatton.

Still a one sided beating.

I cant believe i am sayign this (dont like cotto) i think Cotto would beat Hatton with his skill and as long as Cotto doesnt go crazy and stay calm.

He mentioned Gatti, and said he won't announce his plans until after Xmas.

He also mentioned he has mandaotories to take care of.

I'd wager we'll see him fight a tune up in the US on Showtime to segway to bigger fights.

Super_Lightweight

Why would anyone wants to see him fight Gatti? Gatti fights at 147, would have to kill himself to make 140, and would get stopped due to age and weight-drain. That's stupid, and I don't wanna see Hatton fight at 147. We need Hatton-Cotto, Hatton-Mayweather, Hatton-Witter, Hatton-Torres, Hatton-Tszyu II, and so forth.

And also...why the **** is he waitin till May to fight again? Half a year...this is bull****. We already have enough fighters only fighting twice a year.

So you're tellin me then that his cuts are as bad as what Klitschko suffered. I have a hard time believing his cuts were that bad as the annoucners said they were under control. I'll wait till I see pics. Taking 6 months off for a cut sounds like bull****.

When Ricky came ringside to talk, the lads at BBC radio saw him close-up and apparently his cuts aren't very wide but are really deep and won't be healed up until atleast 6-8 months.

The cut on the left eye was REALLY BAD. Not torn up like Vitali, though opened up quite large. Not to mention a smaller one on the right eye. I also would not like to see Hatton-Gatti. I wanna see Cotto-Hatton more than anything.

I think Cotto stands a good chance at stopping him on cuts...watching the fight I never once saw an officail check the cuts out...

Maybe I was not paying enough attention?

I still would not advise my fighter to go to Endlgand to fight Ricky unless the money was ridiculous.

I would like to see my man JL Castillo vs. Ricky Hatton...I think it would be perfect for Castillo.

Im a Joe Calzaghe fan and will be rooting for him against Lacy but I have to wonder if Lacy is cut that bad if the fight doctor wont be checking it every other minute...and if Lacy or a Hatton opponent is cut by a headbut what would the chances be that the headbut would be called a punch?

Still, with the way Vann only warned Maussa for holding, the excessive clinching allowed, and the rabbid screaming hostile fans, I wouldn't send a fighter over there unless the pay day was top notch.

Tszyu travelled to fight Hatton when Hatton had done ZERO to deserve that.

There's nothing written anywhere that says Hatton can sit at home and wait for everyone to come to him.

He's said several times he intends to come to the US, and I hope he follows through.

Your right no matter where you go there is a chance that bull**** can always surface.

I just hope like hell that during the Calzaghe v. Lacy fight they have a very good referee in there...Again Im a Joe backer all the way but if I tune into Calzaghe v. LAcy and the fight is stopped like it was against Byron Mitchell I will be one upset boy.
