this dude named Arsalan...not much of an amateur career but he will be an AMAZING pro. Just watch, in 5-7 years he will be on top.

i think joe frazier was a bad amateur. partly because joe was a slow starter, so if the amateurs are three rounds, then joe wouldn't have enough time to get going, but in the pros he would.

likewise buster mathis was a very good amateur, but a bum as a pro.

Well, my uncle was like 350-9 in the amateurs, one of the highest rated ever in U.S. history back in the 70's, but as a pro he was old and had no legs. I think he went 0-4 or 1-4 as a pro.

buster mathis .sr beat joe a few times as amateurs lost to him and ali as a pro....henry tillman beat tyson 2 times or more as amateurs and lost to him by ko 1 in the pros

correct me if i'm wrong but was'nt frazier the 1964 olympic champ? if that's a ****ty amateur then i don't know what you'd call a good one!

Joe Frazier was an Olympic Gold Medalist, Joe beat Buster Mathis at both the Olympic Trials and Olympic Box-Offs.

Joe Fraiser won a gold medal in the Olympics he was a pretty friggin good amatuer.

sorry but Joe was an ALT also at the OLYMpics ...buster did beat him for the spot but got hurt joe was the runner up.....

Even if he was an Alterante at the Olympics he was still a friggin Gold Medalist he was a very good amateur fighter.
