I have played Rugby and football…(soccer)…rugby was better out of these two… Rockin1@sisters 11-24-2005, 07:24 PM I was an excellent little Baseball player when I was young. Found boxing though and dropped Baseball like it was the plague. Boxing is it man, nothing compares. Boxing is it man, nothing compares. Rockin' :boxing: I agree their when i was young nothing for me could beat soccer and rugby but now boxing is my life i live boxing… :) best sport ever made… :D SugaShane 11-24-2005, 09:45 PM Yeah, I gotta agree with you Rockin'...I've even made proffessional european teams in soccer BUT nothing compares to boxing, so I quit soccer 2 months ago to concentrate on boxing. Nothing better then controlling your own destiny (in soccer you can play your heart out and still lose a provincial final) and the mutual respect that all boxers have. BjarniJ 11-25-2005, 10:44 PM I was pretty neat on a skateboard in my younger years. Had to quit because of injuries. I almost have to give up boxing cause of injuries too, but I'm hanging on. SugaShane 11-26-2005, 01:11 AM skateboarding is a sport? you gotta be a MAD athlete to excel at that ****... Lucky466 11-26-2005, 06:41 PM When I was 12 and 13 I was good at swimming. I won a couple of competitions for shorter distance races in swimming. But I never really stuck with one sport too long I was also on a basketball team in highschool we won our division but got our asses handed to us on a silver platter in OFSAA. I remeber getting dunked over but it was fun. SugaShane 11-26-2005, 06:42 PM When I was 12 and 13 I was good at swimming. I won a couple of competitions for shorter distance races in swimming. Pugnacious_Z 11-26-2005, 08:41 PM sugarshanes, go suk on ur mumas sugar canes, HAHAHHA ophqui 11-27-2005, 06:31 AM hahaha that was well funny I was an ok footie player for a while, but like a lot of people have said, nothing compares to the ring BigDozer260 11-27-2005, 09:00 PM I played Football(american) in highschool and I still want to pursue the NFL more than anything right now. I used to have a 40" vertical leap, run a 4.4 40 yd dash and played tailback, fullback, left cornerback, and strong safety, to a good deal of success, but I let distractions take me away from the game. Not next year though, ya'll gonna see me on Sports Center......riding the pine. :D SugaShane 11-27-2005, 09:14 PM I played Football(american) in highschool and I still want to pursue the NFL more than anything right now. Not next year though, ya'll gonna see me on Sports Center......riding the pine. :D wow, now this is what you call an athlete. 40" vertical leap...well done. I remember I ran the 40 yard dash and I really surprised myself in running it in 4.54 considering a lot of NFL players (the really fast ones) do it in 4.4 or 4.3 but im sure theyre accelleration is better. thats a lot of diff positions which one did u excel at? I really like all the touches, you get the ball so many times, only two players touch it more than the tailback, Center and QB. I never had a good spin move but my crossover step was sick, I could get anyone to lean any direction I wanted, and then switch directions on them and break they ankles. I loved stiff arming DB's, one time I actually stiff armed a lineman and made him do a 360 spin, adrenaline rush like nobody's business. Living Legend 11-28-2005, 01:19 AM i excelled in baseball and track...got drafted outta high school in baseball..but hey, who doesnt it aint hard..droped baseball cause i hate it...qualified for th 04 olympics in the 1oom dash running a 10.19, but tore my hamstring the week later, so my dreamz were crushed..now like most on here of course am using that anger to ko mo foez Damn you have blazing speed, the fastest I ever ran was a 10.7 but I was much faster on the football field. So you aren't ever going to run track again...There's a lot of difference, but stillnot much difference between a 10.1 and 9.77...I bet you could still compete at a world championship level... ~Speed~ 11-28-2005, 12:02 PM soccer and baseball quit because I hated team sports MickyHatton 11-28-2005, 12:38 PM I was a sprinter in my younger days (100, 200m) and hit 10.7 for the 100m in one championship although thats as good as it got and I never did as well again. Then I played Rugby and Football(soccer) as well as boxed whilst I was in the British Army. Started as a winger in both(speed)then hit the weights a bit and grew older and ended as a Heavyweight boxer, finished as a Prop in Rugby and Centre Back in football, still useful and quite quick for a big guy now (6.2 and 220lbs) but my legs are starting to give up as I am in my mid thirties! chopper77 11-28-2005, 03:46 PM I was a pretty good center on some crappy football (real football)teams, but kept getting in trouble with my fists. I always loved boxing and fighting. It was an easy switch. Dempsey 1919 11-28-2005, 05:05 PM no one here can beat me in basketball! leff 11-28-2005, 05:14 PM im a pretty decent kickboxer, and i did soccer in my younger days SugaShane 11-28-2005, 08:29 PM no one here can beat me in basketball! i beg to differ ;) |
