News of Manny going at it again, I almost lost my enthusiasm to log-in or even just to visit this site like I habitually do. How can Manny be involved in another shooting commercial ad when he is supposed to fly to L.A. and start training seriously? Should I worry? JMM is already deep in training and Manny seems to be not worried at all. As a fighter, JMM has my utmost respect among Manny's opponents.

If I am to listen to conventional wisdom from boxing pundits, Manny's penchant for cramming his training would make even a diehard Pacman fan doubt his chances against Marquez in their upcoming rematch. Yet I pick Manny to win the rematch. Manny has Marquez figured out. In their first encounter, JMM had to dig deep from his bag of tricks to neutralize Manny's one-dimensionality. He went through hell with JMM and from that experience he's able to assess JMM's in and out. And being a good learner Manny might employ techniques JMM doesn't know about yet. I think Manny can handle JMM's counterpunches in their rematch. If JMM had difficulty handling Manny's one-dimensional approach more so if Manny varies his tactics.

If there remains to be doubted in Manny's arsenal, it's his "gas tank". Is he going to have the stamina to go full route? Maybe yes, maybe no. Yet I will pick Manny to win the rematch. The fight may not last the distance.

as PAC FAN i know PAC will win by KO and I am betting the farm on it...

I never doubt Manny's "gas tank", come Feb 26, I know it will be loaded and full...

I'm beginning to get disappointed myself...he's taking JMM lightly. No more drive. :(

I remember Pac trained for a total of three (3) months for the Barrera fight. Including Sundays! Freddie tried to slow him down, Pac replied "...I think Barrera is training even on Sundays, I must outdo his efforts..." Sadly, that's just a thing of the past, his hunger and focus are gone.

It's a mistake to underestimate your opponent. Especially if that opponent is JMMarquez.

A TKO loss from JMM could just be the reality check for Pac...that he's just a mere mortal...and that he needs to do hard labour just like the rest. Heck, even B-Hop never rests.

3 months training for MAB, that's great but you have to consider that PAC just fought last December albeit a live ammo sparring session but still a fight and that match did what it suppose to do... "tune-up"

I agree with you Mei that Pac needs a reality check to bring him back to the ground, but i bet it won't happen on February ....

Pac is a 7-5 favorite daw against JMM.

i don't like it when PAC is the favorite, he works best when he is the underdog....

Guy's here is a comment from one of our Mexican Amigo...

i think pac is taken things so lightly this time around
becuz of his rabid fans and blind followers
it seems as is the case with past champs or future champs
that has bought into his own legend
that 3k fight was the worse thing that could happen to someone in his scenario
he cramed all his training into a short time
then he had agreat ko
but for me wasnt too impressive
he simply threw to many punches that missed
that someone like jmm would be abel to counter

then he got rave reviews for that fight
about his right is incredible and how its gonna change the rematch
he def needs a reality check
and i dont mean a check from filming another reality show

abdiel2k3, this is one of the reasons why i wish its already Feb. 26, so everybody could see that Manny is not taking JMM lightly ...

the 3k fight was a sparring match it showed Manny & Roach where and what to work on...
