I actually agree with this. I think Mesi's stamina is quite low and has a rather weak chin. It is pretty sad when Mesi was commenting before the fight that Jirov should go back down to cruiserweight because he can't compete with heavyweights. Well look what happened. A guy who basically ended his career(he ain't heathly no matter what, whatever he says is just to get back in the ring) that according to Mesi was an easy win. I think Mesi is rather overrated and in no way can compete with the likes of Vitali. He's about as good as the other American heavyweights :?

Personally, I was offended when they started comparing him to Marciano, he really doesn't fight like the rock, and he's quite a bit bigger, while at the same time carrying a much lighter punch. He beat Barrett, but he ran out of gas big time in the last few rounds, he needs to come in to fight in much better shape. I also don't think his style is the best style for a fighter with his chin. All in all, I think he's a good fighter, just not the next coming.

mesi won alright, but he won the first six and thats it. i dont know why hes considered amaizng, he has still never been 12 rounds. barret just didn't do anything in that fight, which is why he lost, give him a rematch and i am sure barret will win. give him toney, rahman, byrd, ruiz,brewster, golata, hell even riddick bowe and evander holyfield who are old and bowe hasn't fought a real fight since 96 or so, will beat him.

Mesi was starting to find it difficult as he rose through the Heavyweight ranks. He realy is a nice guy, got to have a small chat with him in Canastota last summer, i hope it all works out and wish him the best in the future.
