View Full Version : Fake Karma. Fix It?

This Karma thing does not make any sense. It should be fixed. I also want to get rid of my blue line, but I can't. On the one hand, the only effective way to decrease karma is to fail in the attempt to steal points. On the other, you can almost trivially increase your karma to any level you want.

I am not even sure now that red karma is any worse than blue karma.

it was a new and flawed idea..well the bugs will get ironed out no doubt.

to be honest it was a bit ambitious.i think the points system was enough without having karma too.

You know I really dont have any interest in buying anything from the store. The only thing I wanted was a title.

The glowing name looks pretty gay, but thats just my opnion.

I think it is actually a good idea, but they should not give ridiculous amount of karma points for donating points. Maybe 10 points for each 1000 donated would be sufficient. The current rule is about 100 points for each 1000 donated. Donation should be taxed at a much higher rate, probably 10-20%, to prevent mutual serial donations.

Moreover, every positive karma response should be counted as e.g. + 20, every negative as e.g. -20. Currently they are counted only as +1 and -1! This is ridiculously small amount to be noticeable. By adopting the new rule, the karma points earned through good karma messages will be well visible.

I tried to give you good karma, but ran out of my karmas for today. :(

I will not donate points because it will grow this blue thing called karma to the point where it will start claiming that I will ``be famous soon". I like the current "just nice" a lot better. :D

But feel free to ``steal" my points if you like.

I think if you succeed, you are fine. That's one of the "virtues" of the current system: you can steal and yet use the points stolen to increase your "reputation". Just like in real life.
