Diaz's Managers made statements in a LA radio station, saying that they have begun negotiations to place Juan in a big fight, that being fighting the winner of Castillo vs Corrales 3.

Diaz is willing to put his WBA title on the line and expects the winner of Castillo vs Corrales to put the WBC and WBO belts on the line as well.

Diaz said that for him, the ideal would be a fight with castillo, in a battle of Mexicans. Diaz originates from Guerrero, Mexico and lives in Houston Texas.

he already has a belt, just the fact that he is willing to take a fight against a guy like castiloo or corrales shows that he has balls, to unify belts in the lightweight division would be no joke, and to do it before hes 22 would be tysonesque.

Well you have to understand,I would like to be able to defend diaz,but after the Ebo fight fell through,because of Diaz,he didnt really do anything.He showed something special early on and like i said I hope he proves me wrong,but like you said hes youn and inexperienced and i dont really expect him to win,based on that.

As much as I would like Diaz to beat either Castillo or Corrales I don't see it happening. Especially if he fights Castillo. His style against Castillo would be devastating. Look at Castillo's fight against Julio Diaz and he had much more experience than Juan has.

I don't think this is going to amount to much. He should get himself down to 130, He's not going to be able to take on the big boys at 135.

Talk is talk...I dont buy for a second that Diaz would sign on the dotted line to fight JL Castillo or Diego Corrales nor do I think that either guy has Juan Diaz on their radar screen. It is an easy thing to call out people when you no there is really nothing to it.

You right about Lazcano...he did look different and he may be faded enough for Juan to take adavantage...the Castillo v. Lazcano fight was one of the more underated fights of last year and judging by the time that Lazcano took off it must have taken its towl on him.

It was a great fight that got lost between Pac/Marquez and Barrera/Morales. I'm sure the fight did take a toll on Lazcano because he did take a pretty bad beating that night.

yeah nobody believed zahir raheem could beat eric morales just like all the nuthuggers refuse to believe anyone but each other could beat castillo or corrales.

diaz has a shot, especially against corrales, whether you guys can get in through your heads or not.

Lakva has to be busier than last time. I saw that fight and he got out-gunned and out-landed. Sometimes I wonder if he allows himself to get hit so the other guy gets tired.

It was pretty disapointing at the time when this fight fell through, but Lakva Simm KO'd Ebo Elders in 12 recently. SO thats why he earned a shot at Diaz, i presume.

I give Diaz credit for wanting to fight those guys.....but he'd get wrecked by them both.
He stands in trading too long.....because his power (which doesn't exist) can't push anyone back or discourage them from trading with him.

He will go in & volume punch against C&C & they'd walk through his stuff & nail him with stuff he couldn't handle.

I think the winner of Castillo/Corrales, whoever it may be, will butcher Juan Diaz, but Diaz has a promising future if he chooses to not pursue that fight.
