Are you seriously betting on Machida?
the guy lost 3 in a row then gets a title shot by beating 48 year old glass jawed Randy Couture?
Machida lost 3 times to 2 guys Jones destroyed....

U r crazy bro!

Well, I'm asking for 6 to 1. Obviously i see Jones as the favorite.

And if you wan't to count the first shogun fight as a loss for Machida, you better be consistent and count the rampage fight as a win.

Rampage won that ****ing fight!
If a person wins 2 out of 3 rounds he wins the ****ing fight derp.

Just cus Machida threw a flurry in the 3rd round and tripped him doesn't mean he did sh1t the rounds before.

First round: Machida landing one leg kick and circles. Rampage lands 2 leg kicks of his ownand gets the clinch. Rampage press him against the cage where he knees Machidas thighs for a while until machida breaks free and starts circling again. oddly enough Machida doesn't seem to think he is losing the round and seems content in running.
Rampage gets Machida up the cage and starts kneeing Machidas thighs again.
Rampage 10-9

Round 2: Rampage starts engaging more and machida tries to clinch. Rampage with a big uppercut that throws Machidas head back.
Machida runs away a little and Rampage cuts the ring off.
Machida tries some kicks but they are blocked.
Rampage gets the clinch and press Machida against the cage.
a couple of knees to the thighs and MAchida reverses and have Rampage against the cage.
Machida tries a Knee to the head and gets taken down.
Rampage lays in his guard a little bit until Machida gets up.
Round ends.
Rampage 10-9 20-18

Round 3: More Circling from Machida. rampage gets aggressive and Lyoto counters him hard and starts opening up.
Rampage is rocked and fights back, landing a good left hook.
MAchida goes for a trip immediately and gets it.
lyoto moves to the mount and tries an armbar rampage defends.
Rampage gets up and attempt a slam and Machida lets the armbar go.
Round ends.
Machida 10-9, 28-29 Rampage wins!

The same people that say Machida won that fight is picking Machida against jones :smh:.
I wonder why?

I wonder why?

yeah why? Of course i must be racist for not picking the black guy at 6 to 1.

sorry but it's really annoying when people hint at the only reason why someone could root against a guy is because of race. If that wasn't your intention then im sorry.

I'll take the Machida/Jones bet and will offer the same odds to anyone else wanting to bet on Lyoto.

Your 2B to my 12B, right? Or less if you prefer, consider it confirmed for whatever amount.

I should have been clearer.
what I mean was, people have this thing for Machida..
That overhyping, overrating his karate thing.
Cus people grew up watching Karate kid or admiring eastern martial arts or something.

well, i was never a machidafan back then. Also felt he was getting hyped beyond belief. so i get what you're saying.

the thing is though, if anyone is going to present a challenge for jones it's probably machida with his unorthodox style. That or a dominant wrestler like rashad.

At 6/1 im willing to gamble.

6-1 tho. :)

I think Machida exposed some holes. He won the first round clearly.
Eventually, what i feared would happen did. He got manhandled to the floor and brutalized. Back on their feet he had lost the desire to fight and looked more or less confused.

Losing one round doesn't "expose" anyone lol.
Actually they both landed 8 punches each but jones missed 2 strikes more then Machida.
Machida won the first round on the 2 hard punches he landed on Jones but it wasn't dominating.

Jones adjusted and landed a massive right hand, then got the takedown, the cut, and dropped Lyoto then choked him out..........
how is that getting exposed?

I even predicted that Jones would have a some difficulty with Machidas southpaw stance at first due to him being a orthodox lefty.
He dealt with it.
Who else is a high lvl southpaw striker with excellent TDD, ko power?
Find anyone except Machida then we could talk about getting exposed

I didn't say he got exposed. I said Machida exposed some holes in Jon Jones game. One of which is hes counterable and that he responds poorly to being hit.

When i say he responds poorly to being hit, i don't mean hes fragile or that he has a weak chin. I wouldn't know yet.
But when he got tagged, he lost his composure and retreated straight back with his arms straight forward. Thats something that could be capitalized on.

Yeah but Machida clearly won the first round. No idea how thats debatable.

I didn't say he got exposed.

A massive right hand is a grotesque exaggeration. It was a clean shot but it wasn't massive in the slightest.
Well on the ground i had few doubts Jon Jones was gonna impose his will, and he for sure did. Machida looked confused when back on their feet and the fight was pretty much over.

I even predicted that Jones would have a some difficulty with Machidas southpaw stance at first due to him being a orthodox lefty.
He dealt with it.
Yeah, so? Did i say Jon Jones didn't deal with it?

It wasn't a SP stance that made it difficult for Jones. It was the fact that he had to get off first, and hes not fast enough to get away with it against a counter puncher.

Who else is a high lvl southpaw striker with excellent TDD, ko power?

Didn't say he got exposed.

SP is irrelevant. It didn't factor in the fight.

Rashad Evans have equal or better wrestling, ko power and can fight on the inside where jon jones is below elite level. Jones can clinch when on the inside, but he can't strike well on the inside.

The problem with Evans is hes really fragile. I don't think he has the tools to power jones to the floor with the precision thats needed, so he would have to get close and make it rough. Not sure he can do that without getting ktfo.

Hendo will get destroyed. His wrestling in mma is nowhere near enough to not get taken down by jones.

Other than that theres noone. Maybe King Mo in a year or two if he can keep developing. Gustafsson has the striking needed but will get taken down. Davis just has an akward style and i think he will struggle against Rashad.

Machida needs to learn Jiu-Jitsu, I dont care if hes got a BB in it, he seriously got exposed by a simple choke that any low level Sambo/BJJ fighter would have known. You cant go in as a one dimensional striker against a known ground fighter.
