Which fighter was in a rut from 2003 but managed to break out in a big way in 2004?

My vote is Marco Antonio Barrera.

He goes from being thrashed by Pacquaio, to giving Paulie Ayala one of the worst beatings of the year to also beating a seemingly invincible looking Erik Morales to pull ahead in their fight series.

Talking about coming back, Andrew Golota could be on here.

gotta be Marco Antonio Barrera

Barrera came back like a monster, and it will be yet to be proven, i dont think ANYONE should count him out against pac, after seeing him destroy Paulie Ayala, and DOMINATE everyone's precious Erik Morales. I have watched that fight about twenty times.

Marco has never been out. He's still the same Marco Antonio Barrera even after the loss to Pacman.

Those who voted him as a comebacker must have thought of him as washed-up. :) :) :)

In the eyes of many boxing fans Barrera has beaten Morales twice already before their third fight.

I would put it at a tie between MAB and Tszyu. I honestly was very low on both at the start of the year, but both MAB and Tszyu proved once again why their among the best fighters out there.

As was I. Morales did seem a bit weird though. I think maybe he dont want it anymore.

gotta be Marco Antonio Barerra after the PAC fight a lot of people was counting him out, but i bet he proved a lot of people here wrong...

by the way i am not one of them, i chose him to win on points in a close contest against EM...

it has to be MAB. after the pacman fight, he demolished ayala to the grounds then an upset victory over morales. he showed us what a champion's heart is made up with -- iron!

It is either Mab or Tszyu, throw a coin to decide.
