Which fighter do you think will have a big year in 2005?

I think Bernard will have a big year because this might be his last year. I think he wants to leave with at least 1-2 superfights.

Pac Man will have at least 2 super fights next year rematch with JMM on February and a July date with EM or a rematch with MAB, if he gets past those 2-3 guys, 2005 will be beyond big for the PAC...

yeah I totally agree on that. PACMAN will have a very good year this coming 2005...All the mexican fighters in line for him to fight will be demolished..because Manny knew already what will happen if he will not knockout an opponent..he might be robbed again with a win.. :D :D

Zab Judah- I think he will light up Cory Spinks in Febuary and win another big fight later that year against someone like Mayorga, Ouma, or even one of the big guns at Jr Welter. By the end of the year I think he will be on everyones P4P list. If Gatti either loses to Leija or doesn't choose to fight Mayweather in the Summer, I look for Judah to get that PPV headline. The only thing Judah has going against him is Don King, but he can still get big fights.

Joe Calzaghe, if he can get the fights and wins them against Lacy, Tarver and/or Johnson.

Kostya Tszyu, if he can get the fights and wins them against ODLH, Spinks, Hatton and/or Gatti.

Ya know man, this is what I been believing myself. After seeing him fight Fahsan I'd have no doubt that he would lose the rematch although...Manny is smart. He may be a loose cannon and immature at times(outside of the ring), though with Roach keeping his mind set right, he definitely can go far. If he doesn't begin is preparations as early as Roach wants him to, he will definitely lose. If he begins early and they begin a perfect strategy by watching Marquez tapes over and over and as Roach said, he was gonna sit down with Manny and view the first fight over and over looking for strategies, he can definitely win. I see Marquez as the man that won't have anything new to the table in the rematch, though Manny can if he wants which is up to him. Otherwise this will be another case of Mosely-Wright. Marquez is just too good at counter punching Manny's style which will give Manny some trouble and a loss. It will definitely be something unreal to see though if Manny comes in there with a perfect strategy as he had figured out Barrera and dominates Marquez though at this stage, I don't see that happening. Either Manny by KO some point(early on), or Marquez by decision. :cool:

I think Pac. is the guy with the most potential for a huge '05. I'm picking him to beat Marquez, then he could have 2 more big fights easily by the end of the year. KT has potential too if he can get the fights he wants, like if he beat Hatton, Spinx and then Hoya for example it would be huge. Floyed could have a big year, but I think his best years are ahead. Look for him in '06/7.

Man, Manny beating Marquez, Morales, and 2nd time Barrera would be a dream that only his fans and him could dream about. Just think of where it would put him. He'd be more than just big in the Ph. He'd be huge all over Mexico(whether thats a good or bad thing), and would most likely get big popularity in the US. I'd love to see that happen though I just don't see the hunger being there anymore to accomplish something so big. Although he does have the hunger to face Morales more than anything so it is a possibility.

Two guys are in my mind:
1. Tzyu - fighting Hatton, Mayweather and Dela Hoya.
2. Pacman - fighting JMM and Morales, plus Chi or Harrison. It doesn't look like Pacman will be one of Barrera's priorities next year.

Delahoya will have a good year cause he will be fighting at welterweight and not many fighters will be able to beat him there

I think Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto will have the biggest years.

I think that kostya will have the biggest year. There are too many top fighter gunning for him not to have a good year.

Tito is already starting the year off big by fighting and presumably beating Winky Wright. Can only go up from there.

I have to say 2005 will be lil floyds year if all the stars line up right he can fight Gatti and Kostya and if he beats both then gentlemen, we have the fighter of the year for 2005.

The people who will have the best year will be Cotto, KZ, Zab Judah, and Jeff Lacy. I think they will dominate or continue to dominate their respective divisions (I know MC and KZ are in the same division but they won't face each other this year).

there is soo much talent out there for next year. pac-man seems to like to stay active and if he gets the fights he wants and wins them he could have the biggest year. tito will not fight as often as pac-man but could land some great fights. after the slaughter of winky he needs to avenge his 1 loss to b-hop. how amazing would that be. then he could try and lure dlh in again to settle that score. pbf will be defeated and forgotten forever...that could make it his biggest year!!!!! j/k but what will make the fighters biggest year of course is actually making the fights happen. so many match-ups with the possiblity of upset can make or break any of these guys.

Tell you what - Team JMM will have migranes and headaches trying to figure out the two fisted Pacman with a lot of new and devastating weapons in his arsenal. (minus the 99 cents socks too :) ).

I don't know I think Pac got overconfident and was strictly looking for a KO after rd 1. He'll box more intelligently and take his shots when they come in the rematch.

i highly doubt that...figuring out is no way near than executing what he just figured out.jmm had 11 rounds to that but didn't execute to earn a win. it was a very close fight but i gave it to pac. pacman will make jmm backing the whole fight during the rematch and will taste the canvass again...but this time it's gonna be lights out for him. pac tko in 6th!

wanna bet on that? i think pac wins by ko/tko. jmm is an excellent counter-puncher but pac has the speed and power. i don't think pac & freddie is going to go for an early kill. i say freddie will bring a more varied plan this time and after pac gets a good measure of jmm (3-4 rounds is enough) pac will go for a kill starting round 5 and the powerful straight left will find jmm's head in the 6th.
