View Full Version : Best boxing gloves?

I need a new pair of 14oz, must offer good wrist protection.

I have had many over the years but a lot are terrible. Tear easy, uncomfortable, lack support, etc

I have a pair of Reyes but they're not for me, you can not make a fist in them & I just find them irritating tbh, fingertips come right to the end & the thumb support isn't great. I won't say they're overrated they are just not for me.

I had a pair of Lemarr which I rated highly, similar to the Reyes, better support & for about half the price.
Various others...

What do you use/rate?

Winning gloves? Grants?

i recomend not getting 14oz gloves...get 16 geez..thats the norm for gym sparring etc...

winnings are the best gloves for sure. grants are also great but very stiff at first. reyes is good but not enough padding. ringside IMF tech is pretty good but not great quality.

..El Chacal..

I own two pairs of IMF's, 18's and 16's, I have tried others but don't think I can leave the IMF's. I love mine. If budget is an issue like with me, you can't go wrong with IMF's

Paul how does your hand feel in the rivals? Is it a snug fit or roomy?

well i think they're a little small than normal, because the 16 oz has all the padding on top of the glove, not on the inside, so it's snug. feels good though, not tight.

these are like the imf but better...and the wrist support is awesome...i know people talk out their butt about gear..but i tell u what, im a gear head and these are gloves that you will definitly be hearing about soon...jump on em now n beat the bandwagon...there are great reviews on sherdogs equip review forum...i have these myself and i love them...you can hit a brick wall with these and ur knuckles wont even feel the pressure..and there thick, about 2.5 inches on the knuckle..dual directional wrist strap

They look fantastic. Plenty of support & they look purpose built. Thank you very much :)

look for reviews n comparisons of the ring to cage mim glove to other top gloves...trust me man, these are the truth !...get the safety strap version mim, the support on the wrist is unlike anything u will feel...the wrist support on these are better the my triumph united heatseekers laceups ..n u can get custum colors n more on their gloves...I have a few items of their gear n its all good stuff.

I was actually looking at buying some R2C 16oz laceup MIMs before you posted because an old friend has them and they looked great, really well built. My new glove choices are the IMF's and the MIM's, thanks for the detail Paul, I might ask someone who has the rival laceups to let me try them on, I live snug fit gloves I feel like my hand is protected

these strap versions have bettter support then the lace UPS I think..perfect glove !

My favorite gloves are ringside IMF Tech, these are best, No doubt all the best boxer of the world use the same brand of the gloves.

imf techs are awesome

Anyone know the best gloves for around 30 quid. Don't want to spend too much at the minute and currently im using reebok gloves which dont offer much protection.

Need to be 16oz and avaliable in the UK

I doubt anything beats Ringside IMF tech for the price and quality you get.

I have Title gel bag gloves and Title platinum ultimate sparring gloves 18oz and both have worked well for me. For both of these I waited for them to be on sale for $70 and $50 respectively.

Winnings are the best gloves if money is no issue.

I personally use the IMF gloves...... but I have been thinking of switching to title since the postage cost off amazon will be much better (postage to aus costs more then the actual gloves).
