At the Main Page, probably thing that I see is the Top Story of the day. I know there are lots of great articles but they are a lot less visible in the fashion they are listed. Maybe bigger icons or bigger spaces designated for the more interesting articles so as they cath the eye a lot quicker. Just a suggestion.
