Peter to return Dec. 15!
Tuesday, October 18 2005
By Karl Freitag
On December 15 at the Seminole Hard Rock LIVE Arena in Hollywood, Florida, exciting heavyweight contender Samuel Peter (24-1, 21 KOs) will return to the ring for the first time since suffering his first career loss against Wladimir Klitschko, a bout where he floored the former champion three times. Peter will face an opponent to be named. The Warrior's Boxing Promotions show will also feature an enticing battle of top ten heavyweights with unbeaten Sultan Ibragimov (18-0, 15 KOs) vs Lance Whitaker (31-3-1, 26 KOs). Also on tap is unbeaten jr welterweight Juan Urango (16-0-1, 13 KOs), who will take on either Cesar Bazan or Goyo Vargas.
MetalVomit 10-18-2005, 07:34 PM Get to see Peter getting right back to the drawing board. He should fight a seasoned journeyman, then go for another contender.
TheFairPole 10-18-2005, 07:41 PM I want to see that Sultan Ibragimov fight. He and his cousin are getting a lot of hype. I would like to see how he does in a big step up with Goofy Whitaker!
RAESAAD 10-18-2005, 08:04 PM Good for Peter he needs to get right back on that horse and should feel no shame or lack of confidence due to his loss to Wlad.....I am interested to see what Juan Urango does as well he is a Tyson looking welterweight with huge punches...but needs to sharpen his skills just like Peter.
Didn't see this anywhere yet so here it goes.

youre not telling anyone here anything they dont already know.
but you will find that a lot of people here will have a hard time admitting it.
mercadojglb 10-19-2005, 01:40 AM Peter is still the ****. He will easily win no matter who he fights in december.
Parody 10-19-2005, 01:58 PM peter is a bum..look alike african ape.three out of two knockdowns were of a hit behind the head when he fought waldimir.
Ur a ***..Atleast get it right ....u meant 2 out of 3 knockdowns not 3 out of 2...and those were legal knockdowns... dont make excuses just because wladimir had the chin thats why he won, peter kept knocking his ass out, and he kept getting up and fought and he won on a close decision, oh well peter will be the heavyweight champ in the near future, watch out :)

This was a test for peter, many of the Clitsgo fans believed that peter doesnt have a chin, he went distance with him and knocked him 3 times, wlad could'nt even knock peter out! peter passed this test, hes got a solid chin
Leo Pradun 10-19-2005, 02:11 PM Ur a ***..Atleast get it right ....u meant 2 out of 3 knockdowns not 3 out of 2...and those were legal knockdowns... dont make excuses just because wladimir had the chin thats why he won, peter kept knocking his ass out, and he kept getting up and fought and he won on a close decision, oh well peter will be the heavyweight champ in the near future, watch out :)
those knockdowns were bs and u know it man...
monkeyboy 10-19-2005, 02:13 PM I'm not sure if Peter will end up as a great heavyweight champion but if he can keep his head and desire strong (and many can't after the loss of their perceived invulnerability) even if his skills don't develope far he will at the least be a strong draw and a benchmark fighter. His beard and strength alone make him a tough enough test for most of todays heavyweights. If he does drill some skills into his repertoire then he may well be a champion in the next few years.
But he will be a draw for quite some time regardless and I can't wait for his next fight.
RAESAAD 10-19-2005, 02:14 PM Peter is going to be a force to reckon with in the future...I think he showed alot of things in his fight with Wlad mainly he is here to stay.....Better gameplans and tying up some looose ends and he is going to be one badass HW for years to come.I would be willing to bet alot that if he ever fights Wlad again he KOs Wlad.....In maybe a year or so.
Leo Pradun 10-19-2005, 02:16 PM This was a test for peter, many of the Clitsgo fans believed that peter doesnt have a chin, he went distance with him and knocked him 3 times, wlad could'nt even knock peter out! peter passed this test, hes got a solid chin
he was purely outboxed and outpunched and schooled, thas it, he hit Wlad with like 3 clean shots in the fight, Wlad doesnt have his full confidence and he doesnt trust himself u can see it, but he proved that hes not done yet and can still bang...

Yeah wlad outboxed him YET he couldnt knock him out? Peter took his best shots yet they werent effecting him, he took his best punches and he had the chin.
Hitman932 10-19-2005, 02:54 PM Yeah wlad outboxed him YET he couldnt knock him out? Peter took his best shots yet they werent effecting him, he took his best punches and he had the chin.
Wlad didnt knock Peter out, but Wlad could knock Peter out.
I believe he would if they fought again.
wlad and emmanuel have surely looked at film of the fight and saw countless oppruntunitys that he failed to capitalize on. Sam Peter will look and say i have to cut down on my mistakes. but the bottom line is that if presented with half as many opprutinities the next time wlad will still capitalize twice as often in a return match. peter can take a punch so id saya TKO over KO, he may have too much heart to go down.

peter and the ibragimovs are club fighters that belong on friday night fights. at least they're keeping busy. they all have a long way to go before being contenders.
still cant believe peter was favored against klit.and that it took wklit 12 rounds to win. what does that say about these clowns.
Hitman932 10-19-2005, 03:02 PM I think Whittaker vs Peter would be the good idea
Enayze 10-19-2005, 03:43 PM Yeah wlad outboxed him YET he couldnt knock him out? Peter took his best shots yet they werent effecting him, he took his best punches and he had the chin.
The left hook in the 12th almost put Peter down.
BLOODSHED 10-19-2005, 04:02 PM Be quiet meng. Wlad went down three times. Peter wasnt about to go down. PLEASE.
The left hook in the 12th almost put Peter down.
peter is going to have to develop some skills fast, if he's gonna compete against the top guys... wlad was the one guy peter matched up very well against and he lost... i dont see how he'll beat other more durable guys if he doesnt develop and commit to a jab and more activity...
DiegoFuego 10-19-2005, 04:22 PM Good for Peter he needs to get right back on that horse and should feel no shame or lack of confidence due to his loss to Wlad.....I am interested to see what Juan Urango does as well he is a Tyson looking welterweight with huge punches...but needs to sharpen his skills just like Peter.
are you serious? he lost to Wladimir Klitschko
rocco1252 10-19-2005, 04:30 PM Peter is going to fight a ****ing bum like all his last opponents accept Klit, I would like to see Peter go against Ibragimov though that would be interesting.
Manny_P 10-19-2005, 04:39 PM The left hook in the 12th almost put Peter down.
dumb comment. last I saw Wlad was ta one hittin ta deck 3 times. LOL. Wlad=weakling!
I've seen people got hit in ta back of head BY ACCIDENT and still they weren't knockdown. BUT WLAD GOT dtropped 3 times. ALL LEGIT! WEAK!
TiB-WaRRiOR 10-19-2005, 05:06 PM This was a test for peter, many of the Clitsgo fans believed that peter doesnt have a chin, he went distance with him and knocked him 3 times, wlad could'nt even knock peter out! peter passed this test, hes got a solid chin and he almost danced when waldimir hit him with a solid left hook in 12th with his eyes and face swollen like an ape.
u mite have the same character as peter..everyone who was watching that fight were not there to watch peters chin, they came to see a fight and thats what waldimir exactly did..whatever it is,waldimir beat peters ass so convincingly that no one would watch their rematch at all..lol

2 were pushes,,,one was an illegal shot behind the head. peter got whupped. live with it
punchers_chance 10-19-2005, 06:20 PM I'd love to see Peter develop some real skill in the ring. With his puching power and chin, he could really be something. Other than that, he'll just be a puncher. :boxing:
blockhead 10-19-2005, 08:40 PM anyone who loses to either of the klischkos should be ashamed of himself. they are the reason why the heavyweight division is in the state that it is in. they should both be destroyed by toney as soon as possible and get it over with.
Calabrese 10-19-2005, 08:46 PM Let's get real guys. Peter isn't going to develop much skill from now until a couple fights later. Unless he switches to a better trainer, he's going to stay as the same old overweight, slow, awesome one punch KO power, but no skill.
He's a nobody, and he's going to have tons of trouble against durable heavyweights who have a chin and a decent jab. Once you get to the top flight its a helluva lot harder to win.
Peter got exposed for what he is. David Tua.

finally someone with some sense!

peter lost in style though, you gotta admit that
if i had to lose, losing by ud after knocking him down three times is how id do it
peter showed promise

peter truly lost in style, losing 9 or 10 out of 12 rounds is about as stylish as it gets.
Easy-E 10-20-2005, 01:33 AM he knocked wlad down THREE times
peter has never been a boxer, no one expected him to win this via ud
hollister 10-20-2005, 01:51 AM peter and the ibragimovs are club fighters that belong on friday night fights. at least they're keeping busy. they all have a long way to go before being contenders.

I know you're going to come with some bs because you hate the klits, but I'm going to ask anyway. Who else besides the Klits could you see knocking Peter out? That hook in the 12th would have dropped most any heavy if it didn't KO him, and it almost got Peter. Peter showed a way better chin than I would have ever given him credit for if I hadn't seen it. So since the Klits are clowns, who would Ko Peter?
hollister 10-20-2005, 01:55 AM 2 were pushes,,,one was an illegal shot behind the head. peter got whupped. live with it
Manny P and Rogers Bust are both Bozo Nono nuthuggers, don't even waste your time lol

as it is!
Wlad got dropped 3 times. I no see no pushes. There was a pucnh on back of ta head, but like I said, Ive seen many people get punched ta same way but neva went down. Wlad= weak chin.
3 times he got dropped. and to still say he got dropped only 1 times legit and be proud of it, is wrong. Goes to show Wlad always gets dropped in errr fight. LOL! It's a shame he can't match his offense wit his defense and chin.

can't say for sure any of them could knock peters out.but will say most of the beltholders would beat peter.
can't wait for peter to get more boxing skills. maybe he should get another manager. down the road he could be a viable contender. he needs alot more training.
badblood 10-20-2005, 02:47 PM I'm hearing that Peter's people are talking to Robert Wiggins.
BadMagick 10-20-2005, 02:49 PM Peter should go back to the drawing board and learn some better boxing technique before someone jabs him to death again.
TiB-WaRRiOR 10-20-2005, 03:25 PM waldimir has weak chin,blaah..blaah..blaaah...get it over u ya punkz,The fact of the matter is,who gives a fuk if waldimir goes down three times or five times,he did what he said he would do,he proved all those fukin so called experts tottaly wrong and embarrased them along with peter.THE RESULT-NIGERAIN APE PETER LOST,WALDIMIR WON WITHOUT A DOUBT.
WHAT W0ULD ALL YA HATERS SAY IF PETER WOULD HAVE GONE DOWN THREE TIMES AND WON A DECISION..WEAK CHIN AGAIN?
Hitman932 10-20-2005, 04:40 PM I'm hearing that Peter's people are talking to Robert Wiggins.
Please tell me youre ****ing joking, wiggins isnt even a top 150 fighter anymore, did you see him fight audley harrison??? he quit like a ****in *****, this guy is out to take falls, please tell me this is a joke.
if peter fights this guy i will never be a fan......
Hitman932 10-20-2005, 04:55 PM wlad went down from the punches behind the head because he thought it would put the referee in a postition where he would have to stop the fight and issue a warning. you could tell by the look on his face he couldnt believe he was getting a count either time.....
for the love of GOD people, if youre fighting someone and theyre rabbit punching the **** out of you whyt the **** would you think to yourself "im just gonna stand here and let him keep doing that the whole fight, it'll probably help me out a lot"
what wlad did was smart, if the referee wasnt so stupid he wouldve taken the opprutunity wlad gave him to start cleaning up the fight.

That's what I'm hearing from some people I know down in Miami. It's about who they can afford to match him up against and Peter's desire to stay busy. Wiggins spars alot in South Florida so they could try to match these 2 up.
TheEvilSaint 10-20-2005, 05:02 PM peter should take 2-3 more tune up fights before he fights another serious contender.
badblood 10-20-2005, 05:17 PM peter should take 2-3 more tune up fights before he fights another serious contender.

well good lookin out on the DL info..... as much as i dont want to hear that.
did you see the wiggins/harrison fight?? just curious that you thought??
i understand peters situation, but they can afford someone better who he may learn something by fighting... i just dont like this wiggins bum, sorry but it was a joke when harrison fought him and peter is better than audley..

Wiggins is a journyman fighter with limited skills, Harrison posed and looked rusty when he fought him, but the result was still a victory. I hope that Peter's people tries to get the best fighter for their money cause he need's work against a better fighter than Wiggins.
