I jest recently tried out runnin on treadmill and I say it doesn
't tire yer legs out as much as runnin on flat ground.

You think threadmill is betta becuz I notice runnin on 9-10 speed, got me sweatin alot too!

Is threadmill a GOOD way to lose fat, WHILE not tirin yer legs out as much?

Opinions?

running on grass or sand would be better.
i got major shin splints last week and sore calves when running on road, prolly just a crap technique aswell

Roadwork is more intense...

Treadmill, you will lose weight if you use it consistently though.

i hate doing roadwork cause the asphalt is not good for your knees imo. play some basketball on a street court and your knees will be killing you by the time you leave. i wish i had a treadmill or a basketball court i could still go to, to run on...

For the guys who do road work! I suggest you use really good shoes! they already said running on concrete is bad for your knees! I cannot run on the asphalt because I get shin splints so I use the treadmill and I put it on incline so its like running up hill, it is easy on your calves and you can run for longer and lose more fat this way.

I only suggest roadwork if you have been running weekly on the road but i your legs are not used to the hard impact of the concrete then do light jogs everyday around the block and do treadmill and then you can up your roadwork slowly you have to adapt then you will be able to do jump rope and not get pain in your shins. It takes a good month to adjust if you never ran in a long long long time.

When I wake up in the morning I use the treadmill and stairmaster at the gym... at night before I go to bed around 11:30pm I go for a two mile jog...

I think the jog is harder because your always changing speeds from running uphill and down hill... the smallest incline in the ground (which most of the time is hardly noticable) can make it alot harder to run than you think.
