The Atlanta Falcons' star quarterback signed a 10-year, $130 million contract extension Thursday that guarantees him $37 million in bonuses.
"You know, making a commitment says a lot, not just to me, but to our team," Vick said with a smile. "It means a lot to me."

Vick's contract surpasses the $98 million deal Indianapolis quarterback Peyton Manning signed in March - although Manning's contract is for seven years. Manning was guaranteed $34.5 million for signing, as well as an additional $19 million in bonus money.

I don't know if Vick is worth that kind of change, but there is no question he is one of the most exciting players in the league. I guess the Falcons just figured that if they lost him it would be a disaster for much of the fanbase and they are willing to grow with him.

He can do things that nobody else can do and that's a FACT.
It will be interesting to see if ANY mentor/coach can help him to realize his potential.
If he learns when to stay in the pocket and can develope some semblance of Montana-like coolness under fire, he will be something special.
Unfortunetly, his current game is a magnet for injury.

There isn't a single person in the world who is worth that sort of money, especially someone who plays a freaking game for a living.
