I dont want to see Castillo Corrales III. I want to see Castillo mix it up at 140 and Corrales maybe try to unify at lightweight.

I dont think anyone necessarily writes Casamayor off. Case and Point: he is a fighter who lost all of the biggest fights of his career with the exception of his first fight with Corrales.

Casmayor was bloody and hurt badly at the end of the first fight with Corrales yet you say that he holds the most decisive win over Corrales (it was a good win no doubt but there was a lot of **** still left on the table when the fight had to be stopped due to an extra large mouthpiece)?

Casamayor is a very good fighter and has been involved in some close decisions against great fighters like Chico and Castillo and against subpar B and C level guys like Campbell and Seda...the guy fights to the level of his comp and hasnt looked truly dominating since he won the title against Jon Kwan Baek(I may be missing a performance in there...maybe against Garcia)...

I don't want to see Corrales-Castillo III. Castillo lost all credibility and should not be allowed to fight for a lightweight title.

If these guys meet at 140lb or above sometime in the future, so be it - but the contract better have a clause that if Castillo cheats with the weight again the fight is cancelled and he pays the other guys purse and all other costs. I've got nothing against Castillo inside the ring, he's a a terrific fighter - so long as he plays by the same rules as his opponent or incurs severe penalties.

I agree completely. I'd love to see a third bout between corrales-casamayor (who indeed more than deserves another shot at chico!) and of course the rubber match with castillo, who hopefully will make wt. so there will be NO excuses from the chico fans. Using the wt. as an excuse when the fighter that lost outweighed the winner on fight night is lame.

first off the 6th round was the last round of the fight.

it was stopped before the 7th.

i respected the hell out of chico for complaining so much and i dont think it should have been stopped either. he wanted to continue and the cut was not that bad. thats what happens when you get a ***** involved in boxing though in margaret goodman.

i though it was a replay of the first round through rounds 2-5 cause it was the same casa landing the straight left over and over again snapping castillos head back.

castillo came on to win the last 2 rounds and i had it scored 7-4-1 for casa.

he beat corrales more clearly than any of them, and the freitas fight was actually the closest of any of them.

casamayor clearly won all of those damn fights, yet he was robbed and ill tell you why.

freitas, well freitas is the media suck up, who cried before the fight, and always dedicated every win to his dead father which has apparently died about 4 times now, because every time it was "he just died 2 months ago". and freitas is the brawler while casamayor is skilled which in BOXING apparently means nothing. decision to freitas.


chico - well goossen had switched up and you can tell from the way he looks before the score cards were read that he knew something. also chico is a brawler to so of course they like him better than casa.

castillo - same thing as chico on the skill factor. the one judge had it 117-111 for castillo, OMG THATS ONE OF THE WORST SCORECARDS EVER. when that was announced i was ready to explode cause i knew casamayor had to have got the decision at that kind of score, then its announced "and still", and i just couldnt believe the ****.


diamond - well if you watched the fight on HBO you know damn well that before it even started that they ****ing loved kid diamond for some reason, and why once again he s a brawler who they consider exciting. every punch he threw they sucked his damn dick. steward in the 2nd round said casamayor looked old.

HBO fixed that one, and then when it was just to obvious that it would have been fixed i they actually gave diamond the win they settled for what they could and didnt give him the loss either to once again screw casamayor.

IWATCH you are only allowed to comment on Puerto Ricans...not even Casamyor thinks he was robbed against Castillo he was just happy to make it to the final bell.

Casa is one of my fave fighters but it is obvious he is on the slide and would probably get KO'd if he fought Chico again. He would lose anywho you slice it, even if not by KO. Simple answer to this:

Rematch clause was in the contract for Castillo Corrales 2.

Casa is one of my fave fighters but it is obvious he is on the slide and would probably get KO'd if he fought Chico again. He would lose anywho you slice it, even if not by KO. Casa is as good as Chicho ever was in his prime but now Casa is past it...too many years of struggling to make weight and now being in his 30's.


i agree casa is on the decline but i honestly think it has to do with spliting with joe goosen ever since he has not looked as sharp as he did when he was with goosen ..

Casamayor won 8 to 9 rounds against Castilla, infact Tracylee, Castilla cheated Casamayor out his rematch with Corrales, because their fight was an eleimation match for a chance at fighting Corrales...

who diego chooses to fight isnt up to castillo...it's chico's choice. Anyway, none of that means there was no reason for corrales and castillo to rematch, as you said. Damn near everyone wanted to see what would happen if diego fought fairly and continued to fight after the 10 ct (instead of the 30 ct. he got after being knocked down)

chico was florred before, when casa was controlling the fight, true, but chico dropped casa in the fourth, and won the next two rounds, he was about to ko casa. the fight had become a slugfest, which is exactly what neither fighter wanted to happen in the rematch.

hahaha good post. i was looked up casa on the internet today, and one webpage in particular listed one of his weakness that "he gets lazy, and allows other fighters to take control." i thought this summed it up perfectly, because that is what casa seems to do

Casamayor pisses me off. For a little bit of fights, he looks like the slickest guy in boxing, then he slows down, gets lazy, gets hit with a couple bombs and loses the round because of it (see KD).

Seems like Casamayor is gettin black balled outa the sport..but his last fight, he didnt look like he has much anymore..
