The bird who played Daphne doesn't really qualify as an Englishman though..... Pedant of the week. Lol999 10-12-2005, 05:26 PM No love for Chaplin in this house  About as funny as sore piles. McKay 1 10-13-2005, 03:35 AM Granted he's Scottish, but he was knighted... that's close enough. Being knighted does not change your nationality from Scottish to English. F**ing most utterly ridiculous thing I have ever heard. The f***ing queen is mostly German in lineage (I have heard). Dirt E Gomez 10-13-2005, 03:36 AM You clearly don't understand humor. Obviously he's not English, which was a joke. Not that I care considering Scottish and English are the same thing... despite what they want to say. I just haven't determined which nationality has the worse food between them. McKay 1 10-13-2005, 03:37 AM Its supposed to be humorous? Its offensive even to me. Sure you've got lots of variety, but the quality o food isn't too great overall. Dirt E Gomez 10-13-2005, 04:43 AM I think the major difference in "American" cuisine is that we simply take others' food and change it around to our own taste because of our Melting pot of sorts. Very few foods are totally American, but many foods change when brought over here to better suit people of many ethnic groups. And quality of food? Quality all depends on where you eat. McDonalds will be ****ty no matter what country you're in. Lol999 10-13-2005, 08:12 AM Okay, what about American sausage? Not the human sort before the juveniles start! I read an interview with a British journalist living in the States who said most food was good except sausage which was nasty **** and had his own favourite shipped in! With the internet these days geeks of all persuasions get together and find ways to jam these things and get their favourites out. It's pretty pathetic, really. Detroit is actually really notorious for doing this for sports-related polls. Notice there's always Detroit players starting in the all-star games (if there's one that's actually worth voting on). I'm talking about a nations base food which is their own, and America doesn't particularily have one with the exception of grilling out. Last time I checked, "iandian, lebanonese, tex mex, spanish, irish, chinese, thai" are not British food just because they're served in britain. Please feel free to kill yourself. Like Pizza's in Italy are usualy always stone based, and they have a sour/bitter/tart taste to them because the purée and the way they're made. - VERY DIFFERENT to what you get in Pizza Hut. But then again... Thai food in England (Thai restruants) is very different to Thai food in Thailand.
