However, strategically, the fight with Byrd is a much better choice, since in the event of beating Byrd, Wlad can still easily guarantee a fight with Brewster. It would not work the other way around, since in the event of defeating Brewster, Wlad will loose the status of a mandatory challenger for Byrd, and the Wlad-Byrd fight will never happen.

MOSCOW, October 8 (RIA Novosti) -- Ukrainian super-heavyweight boxer Wladimir Klitschko wants to fight for the world champion title as soon as possible, he said at a news conference in Moscow Saturday.

"Samuel Peter was one of the most promising boxers in the super-heavy weight category until he met me," Klitschko said.

Wladimir Klitschko said that his visit to Russia was unofficial and that in several days he would go to Los Angeles where his older brother Vitali was training to fight against American Hasim Rahman.

Yea, I don't understand how Byrd can be more of a challange if he already beat Byrd once. He should try to avenge his loss to Brewster, what would another win over the bum Byrd do to imporve his legacy. I guess he just wants to beat Byrd so they can finally achieve their goal of holding title belts at the same time. Don King is going to do everything he can not to let Vitali to touch Byrd and fight Brewster. Then again Byrd is suing Don King, so maybe he won't care about Byrd's belt. I'd much rather see Brewster vs Wlad. It would just be more exciting because of the KO potential in the fight on both sides. Thats not going to happen again. either he fights or he hangs them up. wlad is mandatory, no more excuses.

If Byrd does not see 3 mill for fighting Toney, or Toney sees more money elsewhere, then I would not be surprised if Byrd fights Wlad in the near future. Byrd will just cash in before he retires and I bet K2 will put the most cash out to get Byrd in the ring. That being said, I would rather see Wlad against Brewster and Vitali against Byrd.

Wlad-Byrd, so Byrd someone can take his belt from him by stoppage (the only way King will allow him to lose it). Rid the division of Byrd for good. Then go after Brewster in a unification bout. I'm just sick of Byrd squatting on his belt and would like to see him gone, since he shouldn't even be ranked in the top 20 right now with correct judging, let alone have the IBF title.

But yes, the Brewster fight is more intriguing... Brewster is not so much of a great boxer as he is a freak who can take unbelievable punishment. Wlad lost because of an abnormaly fast energy loss and everyone knows it. The difference in skill level between these guys is unbelievable. Brewster is the least talented among the elite hw's. Wlad wont gas out like that again and wins by TKO in 9.
