Tarver in an article posted today at ********** has called out:
Tyson, Toney, Vitali.

Still reckon tyson would bust up those ribs nicely.

All 3 of those guys would kill Tarver.

Toney-Tarver would be a fight I would want to see.

I can't see Tarver being nearly as effective with an extra 25 puounds added on to him. I know he's like 6'1 but I think he would loose a lot of his quickness and some of his reflexes at that high of a weight. Vitali and Toney would beat him easily.

If I were Tarver I would look to mabey give Glen Johnson a deserving third fight and then look out for Jeff Lacy or Jermain Taylor moving up in weight. All three fights I think he would win with ease and would still make some good money. He's a young 36, he could be a very effective fighter for four or five years, unless he takes on the weight of 200+ pounds.

Tarver is a bit old to be moving up to heavyweight dont you think?

He won't be able to beat Toney. Like Tarver said himself...he may be a young 36 compared to Jones but it'll catch up quick within a year or two. He moves up in weight he'll be terribley slow. Toney will counter him all night.

It's quite simple. He's looking and begging for attention. caught yours i guess. ;)

I rather see Tarver fighting Lacy. I don't see Tarver being good in the HW.

There's no one left for Tarver to fight. He should be on his knees thanking Roy Jones Jr. for giving him the attention he got. IF Roy Jones ignored Tarver and stayed at heavyweight Tarver would be a nobody right now.

All 3 of those guys would kill Tarver.

that sums it up quite nicely. It would be like a KO from the old Punch Out game in all three fights.

Lacy is ta only money fo tarver!!!!

But Lacy must murder Calzaghe first befo movin up!!! I don't think Calzaghe last 6 rounds gainst Lacy! nyahahahaha!!!!

Then Tarver vs Lacy will be set up. That would be an awesome fight.

Tyson is too powerful.

i think tyson would beat him if he came in as good of shape as he did for the last fight. which wasnt good at all as far as stamina.

tarver would really just hve to make it past like 2-3 and then he woudl have him.

God i really hate saying this kind of stuff but after the last fight i am forced to admit that tyson is finished and i hope he does not come back. i mean if kevin mcbride beat him who wouldnt.

the only reason i give him a good chance against tarver is cause tarvers not a heavyweight other wise tarver would beat him pretty easily

but if tyson got him with a good punch in the first round it would be over, i dont see how tarver could possibly take a tyson power punch.

toney will beat tarver clearly. hes just a better fighter in every way even though tarver is very good.

tarver would embarrass klitschko, b.c the robot has no skill.

tarver could easily nail him with the straight left and get out of the way before the robot threw any punches.

tarver is way to fast for him.

i would love to see toney-tarver.

i think tarver would get knocked out by tyson and toney. He could probably beat vitali. He is too old to box, I don't even know why he is still boxing.

I'm pretty sure this is Tarver's cry for attention as well. I don't see him ever moving up to heavy, his body frame is just too lanky and he wouldn't be able to carry enough mass. He might be able to pot-shot a John Ruiz all night but I think most other heavies would bury him.

You guys are talking about Mike like he's still that fighter he was 20 years ago...

He ain't even 1/100 of what he was when he fought Holyfield..

I bet Tarver would even beat him..

Tarver would look like an ethiopian in the ring with Tyson. I think even a shot Tyson would make it look like Spinks jinx all over again.

You may like boxing, but you don't know much about it, huh?

Tarver is a constant underachiever, so I don't understand how anybody could honestly think he'd show up and be able to hang with any of the current top heavies, or even a past it fighter like Tyson.

Vitali would blister him, like he'd blister pretty much everybody else in the divison. Tyson would KO that ******* Tarver calls a head off his shoulders. Toney would be the best match up for him, but he loses this one in pretty one sided fashion enroute to losing via late stoppage. Ruiz would hug him into a UD or even a possible late stoppage. Brewster, see Tyson.

Tarver needs to stay out of the heavies.

Tarver moving up to heavy = suicide.

Tyson is DONE. Get it through your heads. Tyson is finished. Tarver would destroy Tyson at this point in time.

Dude, look at it from a size vantage point. Tarver is tall, lanky and weighs maybe 190-200 when he's not training, even if he packs on 20 lbs. of muscle he will still be the smaller man. Tyson at any age would absolutely manhandle him.

tarver would beat tyson, loste to vitali, and have a very close fight with toney, id like to see that

Yall are crazy Tyson quit against mcbride and was hurt against DW. Besides both are taller and bigger than Tarver not to mention stronger. Like Toney i think Tarver could be a descent heavyweight but he should test himself first with guys like Guin Jirov, McBride fighters that will make it easy for him to understand if this is the right thing to do. :boxing:

Its hard to say how Tarver would be as heavyweight. We dont know how well he can take a punch from the big guys. I think he would beat Dom Guinn, Dav Williamson, John Ruiz, Jirov. Tyson its hard to say, Williams and McBride were big, Tarver is not. It would be close against Toney. As for Vitali, its hard to say because he does not lose many rounds. He has a history of struggling with southpaws[esp Byrd]. But I think Vitali is too strong for him. For his own sake he should stay away from Wladimir, for he would get destroyed.

Tarver calls out Tyson
Tarver can f**k right off!... I wish people would leave poor Tyson alone. It was sad to see Tyson in his last fight sitting on the floor looking helpless, and asking the referee to help him to his feet.

Tarver calling out Tyson gives you some idea of what Tarver's all about. :nono:

Tarver actually got his paydays against Jones and Johnson. In his last 5 fights he probably made $5 million, which is alot for being that type of fighter.

And by that type of fighter, I mean a black fighter who is between a middle weight and a heavyweight without a regional fan base.

If I was Antonio Tarver, I would be calling out everybody that could get me one last payday. Look at who he could call out and make that type of money against. Vitaly, Toney, and probably Tyson. Who could he beat, maybe Tyson. Against Tyson, he could run and play defense and pot shot him all night.

The only other person that he can call out and possibly make some money against is Trinidad.
