View Full Version : Castillo Fans & Corrales Fans...
jabsRstiff 10-10-2005, 03:43 PM With all of this "cheating" talk going on.....now each side gets to feel how the other did back in May.
The Corrrales fans were annoyed by the Castillo fans detracting from Chico's win....& the Castillo fans were angry, believeing their man had a win taken away from him.
Flip the fighter's names, along with their fans, around....& that's where we are today.
SAN D13GO VILLAN 10-10-2005, 03:47 PM true!!!!!!! but you know what? the truth is that corrales chin and body wasnt up for the same kind of war as the 1st fight the corrales need to accept that he wont beat castillo in the rematch corrales is going to end up hurt. for reals!
I like both guys alot and the only time I have ever rooted against Chico was against my #1 boy JL.
I hope for Diego's sake that he does not get back in the ring with JL immediately, he needs to wait.
I can understand how Corrales fans feel, JL did not live up to his contractual commitment...do I think too much is being made of it..yes, but I know Im biased. (I tried to tell myself on Friday and Saturday morning that the weight meant nothing because I did not want to tarnish the fight)
I just wish the Corrales fans understood how I felt after the first fight when Castillo appeared to be on the brink of victory...and used a pretty shaddy technique to buy himself time.
2 wrongs dont make a right.
No remtach, at least not for a long while.
TacoMuerte 10-10-2005, 03:55 PM All in all the 'accusing' just got more rediculous...People are just mad Castillo won, I mean people are talking as if its unfathomable that Castillo won, like they forgot Castillo messed up Chicos face in the first fight, knocked him down twice and like Joel Casamayor said it obviously "took a miracle to happen for Corrales to win that fight" and thats what he got (not to take anything away from corrales but lets be serious).
But yeah, emotions and boxing commentary have never gone well together..And if you hate Mexicans and Mexican fighters I'm sure it was a nightmare to witness that blow out.. :D

it doesnt feel like castillo cheated, lay the fact down and castillo had all the disadvantages.Draining to make weight, having to keep it at a catch weight and an injured rib during the fight and training.weight advantage at fight time was corrales's.
spitting your mouthpiece 3 times in a fight to get more time is cheating.

I don't think Castillo cheated. I'm pointing at how both sides now know what the other was going through.

figured your a rational boxing fan.I cant believe peeps calling castillo a cheater is gonna make feel better when they know for fact it wasnt cheating.
BLOODSHED 10-10-2005, 04:05 PM I dont think he intentionally decided not to make weight, so it wasn't cheating.
I figure if they fight a third time nothing will be settled. Some accusation of cheating or biasedness (with ref or judges) will come up.
There's nothing the third fight can answer. I know which is the better fighter from the first fight, I didnt need the second fight. I knew Castillo would use his his stature to the fullest. He uses his naturally bigger body correctly unlike Wlad who tries to box with much shorter boxers instead of taking their heads off.
TheEvilSaint 10-10-2005, 04:07 PM i dont think hitting some1 with a left hook is cheating...
TacoMuerte 10-10-2005, 04:09 PM I dont think he intentionally decided not to make weight
lol Castillo weighed 1.2 pounds past the limit or somthing when he first got weighed..People are just mad Castillo won a blow out..
BLOODSHED 10-10-2005, 04:10 PM They were mad a day before the fight. They didnt know it was going to be a blowout Anorak.

mic573 10-10-2005, 04:13 PM I would just say give Castillo the benefit of the doubt about the weight issue. He never came in overweight before and he gave his reason and he at least apologized. When Morales came in overweight and paid a fine for it nobody complained because he lost. Since Castillo won everybody blames the weight and not all the punches Corrales was taking and the shot that put him down.
I had something to say about the mouthpiece situation afterwards but that was just in the heat of the moment. I haven't said anything since then because what Weeks did was by the rules and the stoppage was correct in my opinion.
TacoMuerte 10-10-2005, 04:14 PM "they were mad before the fight"
Not as mad as they are now..the **** is a Anorak?
DiegoFuego 10-10-2005, 05:25 PM Why shouldn't we be mad? Castillo claims to be a professional, yet he doesn't weigh in at the limit the day before the fight? Some ****ing professional he is. Even he doesn't consider this vengeance. You could see it in his face when Jim Gray was bashing him.

first off i don't have anything against castillo i think he is a great fighter and i am not taking anything away from his win ..but you are wrong on this one ..do you really belive castillo drained himself trying to make weight ?? his first weigh in was 137 lbs. he cameback 50 minutes later and weighed in at 138 1/2 ??? i can tell you this much he did not try to loose weight.. i run 2 miles a day in 20 minutes with a sweatsuit and i loose about a 1 1/2 of water weight when i weigh myself after ..now in this situation were a boxer needs to loose weight like he did they would prob. go in a sauna with sweatsuit and do cardio for about 45 min. to an hour and i am sure he would of lost the weight even if not the whole 2 lbs. there is no way in hell you would comeback weighing more i honestly think he just sat around until he had to weigh himself again .....also the rib injury is bull**** first of if this were true this would of been reported prior to the fight by his camp anytime a fighter has any type of injury his camp lets the public now right away i never read anything about it i could be mistaken .....also jim gray asked castillo after the fight how he was able to get the job done this time around and he said that for the 1st. fight he was not able to train like he wanted ..and that this time he had his BEST training camp at that point jim gray brought up the issue about why he did not make weight and then he said that he injured his rib and could not train for 2 weeks he made that up on the spot ....how can you have your BEST training camp ever if you had injured ribs and could not train properly for 2 weeks ???
{BrownBomber} 10-10-2005, 08:22 PM Im just gonna post some pics that speak for themselves and you tell me if looks like went to sit down or workout. One more thing you cant compare your water retention or body fat to a pro athlete. If your gonna come at me with this kind of bs next time dont do it.i know your a smart guy man but this just sounds like more excuses.I laid the facts out and in no way im i making anything up.I know the type of person Castillo is and he would not lie about **** like that. Now tell me he doesnt look weak or drained!
look how desperate he is to fluids in his body.

if castillo wants to kill himself making 135 and taking corrales up on rematch clause i'll be happy as hell.
there's belts for the taking and bigger money there than either can make elsewhere.
would back any decision castillos camp makes.
corrales still will have a punchers chance.
would deffinitly pay to see III.
i'm a corrales fan and concede castillo won fair and square.
hope they take more time off inbetween.
