But it was said by several boxing experts along the way(Bernard Hopkins included)that Glen Johnson's record with 9 losses does not really reflect this man's abilities as a fighter. Glen Johnson was ripped off at least 5 times in his carreer with bad decisions by judges who needed new glasses or were getting paid off by someone on the side. So in reality Johnson only has 3 or 4 real losses. Johnson has earned my respect that is for sure. Question is did he earn yours? Or do you still think he is a C-quality fighter? :confused:

2. Tarver was overrated.

Definetly a A-Quality Fighter.The guy is a late bloomer and much like B-Hop,Glen Johnson is starting to get the recognition he deserves in his mid 30s.

yeah, i agree

definitely a b-level fighter...but the guy has a big heart of a warrior and relentless in the ring. i gave tarver the decision last saturday but the two judges saw it otherwise. i believe tarver threw the more telling blows and was more active during the fight...but props to johnson for being the more agressive fighter between the two...i think tarver's resting in round 10 cost him the fight...i would love to see a rematch between these two great ring gladiators.

i agree with most of the posters here who said that tarver was overrated. johnson on the other hand isn't overrated at this point, probably now that he won over tarver, he would be.

Johnson is a B-Level fighter that's really tough. With his tight defense, work-rate, & aggression, he'd be a tough fight for anyone at his weight. I'd like to see him fight B-Hops now. I bet that would be interesting. B-Hops is on top of his game now, but it would be a rough fight.

Johnson has never been underrated or overlooked. Sure he's been on the **** end of the stick with about 3-4 decisions, but he got the sweet end against Tarver. I've always thought he was just a B level, blue collar overachiever with a big heart and solid workrate. Any technically sound, skilled boxer would beat him IMO (and no Roy was old and is NOT technically sound)...Hopkins would eat him alive.

GJ is now definitely an A fighter! He has a great, pleasant personality as well!

He has had an exceptional, unusual career, which he had to support earning his living as a construction worker.

GJ is now very high in my list, one of my favorite boxers.

....Yeah, he is a guy who is definitely hard not to like. Nice guy, humble in victory, and a hard worker in the ring.
