View Full Version : jim gray is a lil....
DANGER13 10-09-2005, 03:14 PM jim gray is a little *****. did you seen at the end of the fight, he was totally ruining the moment. castillo just pulled off tha biggest win of his carrer with a perfect punch, and jim was talking smack. asking him about tha weight, if he was embarresed, was it a advantage. when he should have been asking him about the fight, how well he did, who hes fighting next ect...
did any of you feel this way that jim was discrediting what castillo did?
DiegoFuego 10-09-2005, 03:16 PM for the first time in his life, Jim Gray asked ALL appropriate questions
Hurlex 10-09-2005, 03:18 PM yeah f**k him..and i mean that sh*t..gave castillo no credit. Castillo landed a perfect shot on Corrales (no cheating there unless castill stopped time to see where he was gonna hit) to ko him and got no credit by those showtime f**kers. Jim Grey is a dick for that, come on respect these two who just gave you guys the best ppv you have had in hella long...or ever.
RAESAAD 10-09-2005, 03:20 PM He did his job those were issues at hand but he asked Corrales far to many times to make an excuse after Corrales told him numerous times it did not matter.
DiegoFuego 10-09-2005, 03:20 PM Castillo admitted to weighing 142 the day of the weigh-in. How can you give him credit for the victory yesterday? As you go up in weight, you can take more punishment and you gain a bigger punch if you're a huge guy like Castillo.
Keleneki 10-09-2005, 03:53 PM I dislike the way he continually asks the same question, even when it is apparent that the interviewee isn't going the answer the question. When he kept asking the same question to Corrales, I was having flashbacks to that time he wouldn't stop asking Pete Rose about his gambling accusations. For me, the best interview that Grey has done is the time James Toney slapped the microphone from his hand. ;)
edit Grey didn't discredit Castillo, in my opinion. He only discredits himself. Too bad about that guy. He seems a very intelligent person so it is distasteful to me when he tries to dig up "dirt" in his interviews, when he could just as well play it straight up. Maybe the higher ups want him to do that to boost future ratings or something?

kickbak wetbak diego lost, it aint tha end of the world. theres gona be a trilogy dogg. diego just got caught dam good, lost to the better fighter.
ELPacman 10-09-2005, 04:09 PM Read my post in Jim Grey or Larry Merchant. I mentioned how I believe Jim Gray is being told to ask these questions through his ear piece by the Showtime producers. I don't think it's his fault although if not, then **** him. The mood definitely got killed with his nonstop nagging on Castillo about the weight and on Corrales if he had any excuses. The guy said he got hit with a good shot, bottom line, no excuses. How many times you can hear a fighter give the other fighter the credit with no excuses? Back off already Jim!
BLOODSHED 10-09-2005, 04:40 PM Well, hes a bad puppet if hes just following orders.

IwatchBoxing 10-09-2005, 04:42 PM Castilla is a cheater, he will soon have to fight at 140 or 147, and when he does, squash!
