I HATE headgear.
I can't see a thing through the helmets.
I'm boxing, slipping, going under and I can't keep my eyes on my opponent unless I look straight up, and that's not very comfortable.

Anyone agree?

I have headgear without cheeks. It still distracts me alot!

Just look at it this way when you take the gear of for a bout your vision and reflexes will be really sharp. All because the hg is hindering your natural abilities.

im with ya man, hate em. also they make ur head bigger, so the mite nick u on the edge of the guard and twist it a lil, then u gotta qiuckly adjust it b4 the guy jumps ya again

You rather have the headgear or a broken nose that effect your breathing, busted lip, or a puffy eye and cut around your eye that distracts from your vision......

i hate it too, most because they are so damn hot, but better hot than punchy

Headgear isn't going to prevent you from going punchy. In fact, it's not just the professional fights that give a fighter pugilistic dementia, but all the countless rounds of sparring and of course the amateur career.

i got the headgear dat protects the cheecks aswell and its mad. it gets hot in there and it sumtimes gets twisted wen i get hit on the sides but it makes ur skill better, it did mine. wen i have it on, im more willing to take a punch becoz it protects my nose and shit. dis makes me less scared to take a punch in the face meaning i can slip it or block it better, then wen i take it off i still have the skills i obtained with it on.

u should be so focused while fighting, headgear shouldnt even bother u... asif it wasnt even there.

I stopped using headgear a year ago! LOL! Result, I fight less amount times . It's all good though cuz I'm from ta 'hood. I don't care bout gettin hit flush. LOL!

I never even notice the headgear when i fight. Maybe yours isnt on tight enough if its twisting around that much at the slightest tap.But Mine is one with cheeks but its tinner than usual and it really grips my face well when I put it on I cant see it. So maybe you just need a different headgear.

As much as I love my battle wounds I'm sure glad for the head gear when I dont have to heal for weeks on end.

I use the headgear with cheeks which can obscure vision, but I've got shit head movement so the extra padding helps. Try body sparring (no hits to the head) if you want to lose the headgear for a while.

I freakin hate the headgear too almost never use it, but yeh it makes less friction between youre skull and brain and will cause less nerves to break of and thus causing less brain dmg in the long run but.... It's soooo gayyyy......

mine slips cos of the sweat, i sweat perfusly. and i use aiba headguards when sparring. aiba are suppose to protect your eye from being cut ive seen it happen 3 times tho. so in my opinion they dont do nething but annoy.
