He seems to shine most when he's really challenged.

Fair comment Jabs, im just not sold on Floyd at Light welter, there is no doubt he is a very special talent but he has moved up the weights too quidckly for my liking. He had some dodgy momentas against corley who seemd to hurt him at one point, and beaitng Bruslles and branco proves nothing these guys are c levle fightes European level at best.

Gatti seems to me to be shot to ****, but that doesnt detract from the fact that PBF was punch pefect but aginast a man who fought the wrong fight, looked all over heplace and was easily outskilled and tried to box Floyds fight.

There is no doubt that in skill terms Floyd is presently the best P4P boxer on tghe planet bu Im not sure he is the best Light welterweight.

I think Floyd's less-than-brilliant performances at 140 had less to do with how he handled the new weight, than it did with his just not being as motivated as he is for the big fights.

possible by the way when (and i say when not if) this fight comes off ill be there no matter where it is, so if any of you guys are gonna be there you better give me heads up.

Castillo/Mayweather 1 and 2 is gonna be what the Hatton team will be studying.

Both fighters have neither been taken to deep waters. Hatton and Mayweather both have always dominated their opponents so it's hard to say who has the biggest heart. Hatton, maybe? He's taken more lumps than the slippery Mayweather and always went to war. Mayweather, his fights have been mostly, save for the Castillo fight, a one sided beat down.

I just hope that we will be able to see this fight soon. I think Mayweather will win by late TKO. Mayweather is the greatest boxer I've seen in the last 25 years. I personally don't see anyone beating PBF in the next 4 years.

I think Hatton's going to try to close the distance in the first four rounds, but mayweather will just box him, and then when the 5th comes Hatton will close the distance and start putting on a relentless body attack.

IMO, the fights going to be really close and Floyd's going to have to show some heart to pull this one out.

Ricky Hatton and Billy Graham were ring side for the Gatti vs Mayweather fight, and Ricky said that Gatti chatted to him for a bit the day before at the weighin.

Ricky said that Gatti congratulated him on his victory over Kostya Tszyu, then went on to ask Hatton how he would go about beating Floyd. Gatti also asked Ricky what he thinks he should do to beat Floyd, Ricky replied "Pressure Mayweather".

After that Ricky said that he was shocked that Gatti had asked him these questions the day before the fight, and that Gatti's plans/etc for the fight should have been worked on for weeks before the fight.

As for Hatton Mayweather, watching that Gatti fight, i just think he is way too good for Hatton. I dont see how Hatton will get shots through Floyds tight guard.

I admit to not seeing alot of Floyd, but he is still so damn impressive. I just think he is too accurate, and too fast for Hatton, whoose defence is quite open.

Love to see Hatton do it, but Floyd is quality.

Mayweather is not infalliable, like some think he is. If Hatton hits the dots, then Mayweather is in trouble. There are ways of beating Mayweather for sure. Now the qustion is. Will Hatton take it to him. And will his fight plan be the most effective one....

Time will tell (but hopefully not too much time).

Funny thing is all American's think Mayweather would win, and all the people from UK think Hatton would win. Being a Canadian myself, I'm going for Hatton (no bias here :D)

im an asian and i go for mayweather. mayweather is smart, he would study hatton's weaknesses so well and will win. what hatton does well against kosta he can't do w/ floyd! well just my honest opinion and if this fight becomes reality i will bet huge amt of points on it for floyd on a TKO win.

Mayweather said that he'd only fight Hatton in England if they pay him £20,000,000 (STERLING! :eek: )... So I think we can safely say that this fight will not happen on UK shores. :(

I'm actually starting to think that Mayweather really doesn't want to fight Ricky Hatton... I just get the feeling from what he says in interviews and the way he's moving away from the 140lbs division that he's only interested in fighting someone like Oscar De La Hoya - minimum risk = maximum money.

Hatton's people don't want to fight Mayweather at this time, maybe late 2006 or 2007. As for Tszyu, I don't see Tszyu giving Mayweather any problems. Mitchell was out boxing Tszyu in the first fight, just imagine what Mayweather will do to him. The second fight Mitchell didn't try to box Tszyu, big mistake in his part.

Floyd doesn't know what he wants, where he' going, or how to get there, other than he is plainly on cruise control on a ship without a rudder. He says he want's big money fights, but he ain't a draw and can't negotiate and clearly loves to lavish his hard earned money on his squad of lawyers who are always having to bail him out of his latest mess.

the Tszyu Hatton will be Floyd's biggest test, and the second biggest one he can have in his career, Tszyu being the biggest easily IMO.
