the tcv coverage has improved ten fold since Wanky has junmped ship to ITV.

we get the same old diatribe with JKC etc on ITV while Sky are now picking the best fights form here(Dann elcock, ok it dissapointed but oin paper) Haye Hobbon will be a cracjker when it comes off and of course the best aciton from the states.

Best thing that has happened to british boxing for a while the ITV contract.

Gives the other promters some much needed tv cash as well.

Tuesday 11th Oct. 23.00-00.00. British Eurosport.

Lee Meager v Martin Watson.

This is an old fight but it's supposed to be a good one, Meager is a value for money fighter and Watson showed in the Steve Murray fight that he likes a brawl so tune in.

Got it bookmarked in Sky :D man, I'm so starved of fight action I watched Bob Sapp (6'5", 26 stone) fight a Korean dude (7'2", 27 stone) in a K1 rules contest last night! Thank god for ITV, pity I can't afford SS1!

Bob Sapp!!! :D... LOL!... He's fuckin' hilarious! He sprints down to the ring and then when the fight starts, he just stands there struggling to breathe, blocking shots with his forehead... LOL!...

And eventually collapses after 3minutes with exhuastion!... LOL!.. :D

They both got about 4 warnings last night for NOT fighting, they were both knackered! If you can keep out of his haymakers for a few minutes you could tag the fucker no problem! One man freakshow, but he's coining it.

I saw that as well, funny shit coz if they weren't so big they'd get destroyed, it's just they're immense size that makes it hard to catch them or withstand their rushes but Sapp looks like a real bitch when he's tired(After 30 seconds!) I thought it was being stopped when he was turning away but the ref gave him a break there.

I think it crossed his mind to disqualify but they were both so fucked he had to either abandon the fight or give 'em a breather! Hard to believe Sapp beat ernesto Hoost!

I know people hate the commentator for the K1 but I think he's hilarious:

"Put bolts in these guys necks & the locals will be after them!"

Speaking of 7'2" fighter Choi "Any higher and Choi will need oxygen up there!"

I used to find his football Italia style knockdowwwwwwwwwnnnnnnn very annoying but now I just laugh :D

Oh, Sensei Will vanders! What a plonker! He keeps going on about "curriculum vitae" and "rafamuffin styleeee". Sometimes I have to either trun it off or turn him down!

That's the man! I think Eurosport must have been aiming for comedy value when they hired Vanders & Steve Holdsworth coz both of them hit out with some real gems, but hey, they beat the wannabe Ian Darke in Adam Smith don't they! I mean at least their voices have broken :D

10-25-2005, 12:43 PM
What I like about Steve Holdsworth is that he will say if the fighters are shit! he doesn't use excessive superlatives or try and "big up" the "entertainment" being offered. Plus, he's been known to read out viewers e-mails and then tell them theyr'e talking a load of crap! Plus his voice doesn't get on my tits like McGuigans or Watts.

The Colour of Money: Hardman

Series of profiles about people who may not be all that they seem. Essex boxer and hardman Dominic Negus shot to notoriety in July 2002 when he head-butted Olympic heavyweight champ Audley Harrison in a bout. Outside the ring he collects debts for shady businessmen and acts as enforcer when large amounts of money change hands. When his father dies it prompts a re-examination of Negus's own life and morality as he pursues his violent profession.
