HATTON NAMED BRITISH BOXER OF THE YEAR

Ricky Hatton's achievements in 2005 have seen him honoured as Boxer of the Year at the British Boxing Awards.
The Mancunian scooped the prize after becoming IBF light-welterweight champion with an impressive victory over Kotsya Tszyu back in June.
The victory maintained The Hitman's perfect record as a professional and moved him to the top of the rankings in a highly competitive division.
Hatton, who collected the award in London, admitted the accolade capped off a fine year and he promised there was still more to come in the future.
"It is the end to a great year," stated Hatton to Sky Sports News. "I've become world champoin and number one in the division.
"I feel I've only just arrived at my peak and the best is yet to come."
He added: "Hopefully on November 26 I hope to bring another world title home and keep the good run going."
Meanwhile, Hatton's High Court showdown with Frank Warren is now due to start on October 20.
The promoter, who is head of Sports Network, explained the delay was agreed by both parties on his website, frankwarren.tv.
Warren is attempting to seek an injunction on Hatton, who he promoted through his first first 39 fights, taking on WBA champion Carlos Maussa on November 26.
