I have the opportunity to get either one of these for Christmas,which is better?....as far as graphics,games,action?.... :D

xbox for sports games and graphiqes. it also has the on-line feature for most of it's games. no lag if you have highspeed. playstation2 its more for titles. I have both and havent use the ps2 in months. but the xbox is getting mad playability.

Hehe im pretty sure they both have the same features and everything so it would all go down to which controller u like the most. Most people tend to like the PS2 controller by the way.

xbox is the better system in terms of graphics, ps2 has more games but ps2's exclusives are now comin to xbox so i would give the xbox the edge over the ps2.

i dont know the specific price but they are about the same price, around 100-130 i think. i know they are goin at a price that aint too expensive because both of these consoles have been out for a while.

With Xbox you have a built in hard drive, so there's no need for memory cards. You can also save your music cd's to the hard drive and play your own music while playing a game. You also have 4 ports for 4 controllers. You can also connect Xbox to Xbox and play 4 on 4 and much muc more.

mostly graphic. I pretty much got too used to the xbox control also. The joysticks are at natural alignement with your thumbs unlike the ps2 that is bunched up together in the middle. Before though I wouldnt touch any other controler other than the ps1's.

Ya I used to be so loyal to Sony, then just a few months ago, I bought me an xbox. I don't remeber the last time I played ps2. Cuz you can get basically the same games with better graphiques. Anyweyz, suited me well:

1)Online Capacity
2)4 player ports (sick on a big screen w/ friends)
3)Best sportsgames
4)Better graphics
5)No memorycard needed

Bottom line, it's the more powerfull machine. Yep I'm hooked :D

I have all 3 major consoles and depending on the type of games you like will be the decision maker, I was a fanboy for each system when I had gotten them and not one to choose one over the other because I use each one for different types of games.

XBOX=Sports game hands down
PS2-Action/RPG
Gamecube-Platform games plus double dash and animal crossing owns the world.

If you mainly will be playing sports and going online go with XBOX! Their online is the best I have ever witnessed.

However dont purchase a new slim ps2, They had gotten recalled because the chips are catching fire and shortening out their is no fan in it and that should tell you something, However if you do get it keep it vertically standing and in a well ventilated area.

I have been playing my ps2 like crazy, because I just put a hard drive in it and have been downloading games onto it and boom no load time a lot cheaper then an xbox mod to since their is no chip needed and im hooked on a few games right now anyways

Browsing through the titles of xbox games makes me sigh in the store, nothing appeals to me but then again I am an oddball gamer and switch constantly on which system to play, each one is suited to my own satisfaction of games.

However their is nothing better then hooking the gameboy player up to your gamecube or just playing Gameboy sp with pokemon locked inside, that game is so damn addicting.....


Another thing that has drawn me away from my xbox is I recently purchased the new ESPN series of games and had cleaned house in season modes and other than that their isnt a whole lot to do.

I would have to say playstation 2 is better because there are more games for PS2 and Xbox there are not as much. But i have to say Xbox has some good games and better graphics. I know i gave a dumb reason but i like PS2and is my Vote on which is better!

Right now X-Box, I own a PS2 and love it, I have heard that FN04 for X-box doesn’t have online playability, but not too sure, I know that most PS2 games are free to play on-line, while X-box charges you. One thing I don’t like on the X-box is the controller, not because it is bigger than a PS2 controller but because of the button layout.

I would wait for the new X-box and PS3, I don’t know what Sony has Intel for PS3 but as far as the X-box goes they are making 3 versions, 1 just a game console around $150,2 game consol with a hard rive to save music and other futures on it (kind of like the new reg X-box) around $200 and the 3 will basically be like a computer and have the latest Windows operation system I have no idea how much this one will be

That's EXACTLY the worst misconception that evryone has against the Xbox. I thought of it like that also until I got one. It's as powerfull as a computer but that's not it's purpose. I never regretted it and my ps2 is collecting dust.
