If he actually did sign on for the Barrera fight, then **** him.
I was looking forward to him fighting Manny.
Isn't that what he's been *****ing about and claiming that he wanted?
What's there left to prove against Barrera?
Barrera seemingly has nothing left and will only get his ass kicked again.

I just think this fight will be boring and not worth watching or even hearing about.

A good fight for what?
Who can duck Manny the fastest?
Who can give into Arum the fastest?
Who can get to Taco Bell the fastest? :P

Seriously though, I am not interested in this match at all.
I was looking forward to Morales actually sticking to all the **** he was saying about wanting to fight Manny.
This match should have happened a year or two earlier.

HBO commentators in the course of covering the Marquez-Salido fight said Pacquiao is to face the winner of the Morales-Barrera setto. I don't know whether they meant that to be a sure thing (the contract has been signed) or just idle speculation. Pacman was given a ringside seat and so were Morales and Barrera and were eyewitnesses to the grand snoozer of a Marquez fight

After the Barrera fight Morales is moving up.
At least that's what I remember people posting about.
So either way both Manny and us fans are getting ****ed.

Morales has already moved up to superfeather. Yes, there's talk about him going up to lightweight to become the first and only Mexican to win titles in four weight categories. But then, his facing Barrera could only mean that he is coming back down in weight again-- possibly feather, or catchall. Barrera has repeatedly said he would not fight Morales at jr. light (superfeather). So if Pacman is going to get a crack at the winner of the Morales-Barrera fight (I share your wish that it be Morales), it could be at catchall, i.e., some weight between feather and susperfeather. But anybody's guess is as good as mine in this. Details and facts are hard to come by. :)

The talk is that Marquez/Pac is set for FeburayYeah, there's that too! So much buzz, figuring out which is really which can make one giddy! Any chance HBO will just line all four up against each of the other for the next couple of years so that each will have a crack at each? Sort of a round-robin or musical chairs among those four, you know? Wouldn't that be sumthin' for us fans? Oh, well, wishful thinking... :(

actually is you look back Marquez/Pac in Feburay has pretty much been on all alongYeah, I thought so too until Marquez made Manny's winning an alphabet belt a pre-requisite to their meeting. And, during the post-fight interview with Larry Merchant after he met with Salido, Marquez appeared non-commital re Pacquiao! I don't know what to make of all that. And there's that comment during the coverage of Marquez-Salido about Pacman meeting the winner of Morales-Barrera III! I'm inclined to believe that those HBO commentators are on to something...

Manny had better just face Morales first, and put Marquez on hold. Since Marquez was iffy about having the rematch and doesn't seem that anxious to get a broken nose again, put Marquez on hold and not Manny. Manny should face Morales or Barrera(plz not again) first next year instead of Marquez. This is also because Barrera is more likely to retire sooner and Morales going up again in weight. Marquez doesn't seem like he's going anywhere yet unless he feels it's a good time to retire before getting hurt once again.

Big reason why I favor him. He thrives to rise to teh occation. It's like he's fighting for his life when he goes out there. I heard Buboy Fernandez say that Dapat manalo, kasi pagnatalo baka bumalik sa dating pinanggalingan. Good menatality. Just hope success won't be his demise.

I'm so dense, I don't get it! Some say, MAB fell to Pacquiao because Morales had done so much earlier damage on MAB in their two meetings. And then, in the same breath they say that Morales would axe Pacquiao down, no sweat! That's saying that the two Morales-Barrera fights were walks in the park by Morales; that Barrera barely touched Morales; that it was only Barrera who suffered; that Morales emerged not merely unscathed but even better for the experience! The controversy surrounding those humdingers do not tend to bear out those observations. Most experts believe that while Morales got the first decision, it should have gone to Barrera; and while Barrera got the second, it should have gone to Morales. In fights that close, how could one or the other have emerged unscathed? So ok, Morales is younger than Barrera and may have better recuperative powers, but any trainer worth his salt will tell you close fast paced, power punching contests leave permanent marks on the fighters that fought them, regardless of age. Pacquiao hasn't had any close fights, save arguably the last (vs. Marquez), that comes anywhere near the kind Morales and Barrera fought on those two times that they met. Pacman just simply rolled over his foes since Ldwaba. Even Barrera managed to sting Pacman only once or twice (the Nady-declared first round KD cannot be counted), before and after falling to Pacman's fists.

You'd think that's reason enough to at least give Pac the benefit of the doubt but I guess not. I guess they'll believe it when they see it. Pleasant surprises in life sometimes...

ummm... Nope. Despite being a pac fan, and believing Pac will win by KO, I believe Morales won't be a cakewalk. They're both warrior types and I won't be surprised if both of them will look like a bloody mess before the predicted KO.

I respect Morales but his style is tailor-made for Pac. Marquez style is the one to give pac problems. I remember Pac going up against another banger in Nedal Hussein but he still prevailed.

Barrera will likely take care of Morales. I like both fighters a lot being that I am Mexican(+ White=spicy cracker), but Morales has not been at the level he should be. Barrera dismantled Ayala (yes i know, an Ayala on his way down), and I would give him a 40-60 chance to beat Manny, simply because of who he is. He is not shot yet, dont believe that nonsense.
