I read an interview with him and he was chief sparring partner when the Klitchkos would train for lefties. Kimmy 10-03-2005, 01:00 PM I used to think Gomez was possibly one of the next good heavyweights but when he lost in a round to that journeyman, i don`t know, i suspect him of being a blwn up crusier. I think he'll outpoint McCall but that isn`t hard to do nowadays. He was also coming off a long lay off, the problems with sugar ray leonard, and probably wasn't training hard, and not taking the fight seriously.
